Just came back from 7 km rip after chores were done. Some thin spots, but better than i hoped for. Groomer is out, ground drifting is happening. and i am riding. All is good in the world again.

Yup Tonight, tomorrow, and likely Sunday as well.

Looks like a fair amount of D9 is opening up this weekend. Better late than never. Sorry for you guys in D5 You have to wait a little longer. Enjoy the weekend.

Turnout was good. We sold about 600 lbs of wings.

Wing night coming up soon. Save the date. Fri Jan 31 from 5-9 pm. At the PERC in Milverton. Complex is accessible by trail if the trails are open. Come for wings, fries and again this year Amanda and her Mom will have baked goods for dessert. Due to insurance, the bar will not be open at this wing night.

I would think both the moonlight and Chateau Guay are really going to feel the hurt from these closures. Not much to ride from when you are there.

At least if its warm, better chance the stuff wont blow around, and could create a base.

I think Mt Tremblant has something like this. You can ride up the mountain after it closes, go to a cabin that has no hydro, just a wood stove, and have cheese fondue

An old tale is that snow wont stick to the ground till the ditches are full. I think they are full today. 2nd pic is my field where the ditch overflows. The ditch is probably 20 feet deep, and 20 feet wide at the fence line.

X2 Couple variables as well. Did it have a preseason service done, or just take the cover off and ride with no carb service etc.. Ive had a two stroke seize up on the first ride after coming back from the dealer on a service. It happens. You hit a tree though, that s a different story, and i expect you to pay for that.

Exactly my thought as well. A groomer leaves a 20 foot wide path with no trees growing in, weeds are knocked down, saplings are knocked over, bridges are maintained. The list goes on and on.

Even if it just a breakfast option. Give you a good start to the day, and have lunch and supper before returning to the hotel for the evening.

Thanks Bill Maybe save that as an idea if I go with the kids for a trip.

We just booked an AIRBNB right beside Hidden Valley ski. We are able to use the Hidden Valley resort pool and hot tub, but have a full house to use, as well as a heated garage to park the sleds in. Bring on the snow and cold now, and hopefully sunshine and minus 5 the week we are there LOL. We go up Family day afternoon, and return home on Fri. SO we should have some good trails in there at some point in time.

How would one club be able to get permission, but not another?

I had a visit with, and dropped off a block of landowner cheese on Monday at one of our landowners who is trying to get his crops off. On Tues he sent me a message saying he is going to take off the 24 rows along the edge of the field so we can get the stakes in. This is a non snowmobiling landowner. #respectthelandowner. #didnthaveto #thankyou

That was my 2nd hand info as well. Govt cutbacks, trying to save money. It will be interesting to see how the trails look in a few years with overgrowth etc... given that the groomer doesn't knock down all the small stuff anymore.
