  1. If you have time, a sledge hammer, or post pounder, any club will welcome you
  2. Looks like a 10 year old bylaw. If you have seen sleds around the town anytime since then, carry on. Go to the trail and have fun Like ZR Sledhead says, likely to discourage those just running wild on the streets.
  3. Current VP of our club. Got into snowmobiling 9 or 10 years ago. Started with the club about 5 years ago. Really enjoy gettin out and pounding stakes with my kids. Did some of that this week. Just the right amount of frost to carry the tractor and 4 wheeler across the field, and still be able to easily enough put stakes in. Have helped fix a bridge, and warm up shacks over the last number of years as well. Cooked numerous pounds of wings over the time frame as well Have not yet run a groomer, maybe someday when I retire
  4. First wing night of the year for Milverton This Fri from 5-9 at the PERC in MIlverton. Hope to see lots of people come out.
  5. Thanks 02 for the info. We will be right after family day, so I think resort should be a lot emptier. I like the fact we can do both from the same room, and dont have to drive to get to one or the other. I likely wont book until i can see the 7 day forecast, so if trails/weather arent great, we can do something else.
  6. Has anyone ever stayed at Hidden Valley resort, just up the road from Deerhurst? My wife and I also love to ski. Snowmobile out the one door, skiing out the other door. Leave the truck and trailer parked the whole time.
  7. Yes I did. It looks great in my flowerbed. Nothing like adding a little piece of FF paraphernalia
  8. I'm a firefighter. My wife would eat at any restaurant with me because it had a FF theme. LOL. On a more serious note, yes, no problem taking the missus there.
  9. Moonlight inn is GREAT. Firehouse Bar and Grill in Capreol has good food.
  10. We had a Milverton Club meeting tonight. Our Club Pres had nothing but good things to say about the guy.
  11. I think the place across the road closed own earlier this year also. I noticed a lot of that on the facebook page when I was searching for a place to stop at with the ATV. Lots of poker posts, and not much about the hotel.
  12. We were near there in Sept on the ATV and it was closed then. We knew that, so packed a lunch with us and ate at the community center. Got talking with a local and he told us he lost the liquor licence.
  13. I keep thinking about the Jolly Roger. Makes for a pretty inexpensive holiday when you can stay for about $100/ night and includes breakfast. I see lots of negative reviews lately, however would like to give the new owners a chance. Not sure what else to do though besides sledding if we did stay there.
  14. "Pay me now, or pay me later." No one ever regrets buying a Triton, wishing they had gone for a lower priced trailer.
  15. X2 I keep them in the center console of the ruck, then take them out before the trip home. Mine is just a tongue and receiver pin lock, as I have an open trailer.
  16. How big is the ski hill at Hidden Valley? Compared to Blue Mountain where we usually ski?
  17. We would likely head up on Family Day till Thurs/Fri. Deerhurst, that in Huntsville Correct?
  18. My wife and I are looking for a couple days away in Feb. We thought about south, but couldn't wrap our head around the idea. Heck, I haven't been to the beach around here in over 2 years, why pay $4000 to go sit on a beach, when I cant drive 45 min in the summer to do this. Looking for something that is more than just a sledding trip. Does anyone recommend something in the Parry Sound, Muskoka, Huntsville area that we could do. I would maybe take the sleds with, do one day on the sleds, and day two doing something else. My wife comes with on the sled to keep me happy, but wouldn't own a sled of her own. So I don't want to do a two or three day trip of only sledding. Otherwise I may get stuck on a horse back for 3 days in the summer, which i'm not keen on. Kids are home from school to do chores the week of Family Day. Thats when we would be going.
  19. Automatic External Defribilator. Used in conjunction with CPR
  20. Our district sent an email asking us to promote the heck of it this week.
  21. Any update on whether this will be open this winter? The website is still up and running.
  22. X2 Maybe its someone from New York or Michigan looking for a weekend trip. ETC...
  23. I havent gotten an email yet, and i get the same screen as Andreyboater when I try to look for the temporary permit.
