  1. That is what I recalled reading, POO was struggling and DOO did not seem to be.....and neither was CAT / YAMMICAT as I did not hear of delivery concerns, but as I am sure someone will state, their new sled numbers are soooo much lower I thought I recalled seeing or reading something that DOO tries to manufacture in house as much of their own parts that they can and that makes cents to do so.....not sure if POO is the same, but I would imagine they are. I am personally seeing more product shortages now than there was 8 or so months ago.
  2. From a business perspective, I can only imagine they want the product out the door and money in their bank as soon as they can. I’m guessing dealers may have little or no input on product deliveries, they come when they come. Hopefully no supply chain issues with what seems like a banner year.
  3. So no rhyme or reason really. Personally don’t want it in Aug and I can’t imagine the dealers do either.
  4. How does the delivery work for Doo? First order in means first product to arrive at dealer or other??
  5. I am but biased as I bought the same one, but nice pick! And seeing the numbers on the sleds bought from Doo dealers, I kind of wonder about the PDI as well, but it sounds like Doo gets there product to the dealers fairly early, that gives them time to get them all out the door before the snow flies and doing a good job (hopefully).
  6. Definitely a true attest to anyone is how they handle things when things go bad. Fix the problem first and then circle back on the why and how. Mistakes will always happen, it’s the world we live in, even more so now.
  7. Well the thread does state good and bad. Good is the positive and it was first! From a dealer perspective that I have dealt with that were good was Team, Dryland and All Terrain Cycle. Team is still around and never had any issues Dryland is closed (working out of house), I always had good dealings but I know many did not ATC is also closed, they were close to home and guys there were really good to deal with ORPS has been a great local parts shop to deal with vs. Royal Latest purchase was Quinn's, so far the process of getting a price and ordering has been good, we will see how the delivery & PDI, as well the accessories I buy and possible warranty if the need arises or service that I may need to use them for.
  8. By the sounds of it, nothing gentle about your riding style... So I guess now there is really no hope in hell that @Turbo Doo will keep up with you ! Congrats as well!
  9. My trailer has a couple of small side vents, I store my sled in there in the summer and never had any issues.
  10. So these trips are merely to ride your sled in other parts of Canada? If so, whole new meaning to saddle bag trip!
  11. Perhaps they thought nail polish removal was a good idea......
  12. I recall using my wife's heat gun once years ago and it worked very well......not sure why I did not use it again, maybe I am not sure where it is now or the wife gave me $hit for using her tools.....
  13. Odd, WD-40 works very well here. Most recent sled, was always side panel or hood that I used it on. A couples sleds ago, it was on the windshield, no issues again......but I stopped placing anything on the windshield as well. Goo Gone works, I just found it required more effort to remove residue whereas with WD-40, it was easier.
  14. WD-40 I think works better than goo gone. Soak a shop rag with it, place it on the permit or sticker, let it sit a bit, then start removing sticker, rinse and repeat.....
  15. No new sled comment - go away with your comments..........lol And do not spread the fear, go out and spend some money, it is good for all.....plus you are getting all the money back, and then some, when you file your taxes.....
  16. x3 on this and what my thoughts were too. I think you are on to something....lets base your premium on your life choices like the ins companies do..... I did not know this but found out recently that I am a "preferred plus" client (or something along those lines) based on life ins rate/health check.....apparently I fall into a very small category, or so I am told. Always knew I was "special".....lol.
  17. Rene X does not come with the 900T - 130 option. Big boy (and I will add girl) pants only......
  18. Not to de-rail the thread.....but it is funny how people will chose to forget what they were for that will result in what will be coming. Now back on topic, so for you a new sled in 2-3 years as I read the above ...., maybe a 4-stroke for the soon to be big norther miles of smiles trips...... lol
  19. 2022 Rene-X 900T-R Black Standard gauge Ice Ripper 1.5" Track No Quick Adjust Pilot X Skis Also plan on getting: LinQ 1+ 1 seat system Glovebox extension with cell phone holder USB Power outlet kit I will need some type of luggage bag - going to look into the new Kimpex storage vs. the LinQ storage I might also look into doing something different about the colour scheme as well - we will see
  20. Potentially just looking for a hassle with them there......but more importantly, the trail pass is front and center!
  21. Yep, they are all gone / restricted I think a MOD on here did it though......
  22. LOL.....I was asking UsedtoSkidoo! I quoted you/ your picture for ref purposes only. I, and I am sure many others, have a pretty good idea where you ride
  23. Have you rode in QC or North of Sud's, I assume you must have, but I am asking as there is more than big flat trails that I am sure you would have encountered. There is a lot of flatter trails, but there is also plenty of rolling trails with bends & curves as well trails that run in and out of the bush. The picture above could easily be mistaken for a trail in the Southern parts through the bush.....personally kind of reminds me of D101B just south of 76. Not so much tight twisty narrow trails like in dist 7 & surrounding areas, but even dist 7 has some wider trails that were logged that are similar to the North, but just for shorter periods. The second part that goes hand in hand with the Northern On or QC is the trip aspect, on your sled for 5 to 7 days with people you mostly enjoy spending time with....I say mostly as I know sometimes people can get funny on trips...... ....but usually makes for some good laughs later on. Like mentioned, it is really nice, for me at least, to ride some of the local'ish trails with the pluses that it brings, and some of the negatives too, as well the trails & atmosphere Northern ON & QC offers!
  24. I would imagine if HO received many complaints for one hotel/motel about the same issue, it would likely get some more traction......will it change anything, not sure as I am guessing the number of places they have in "sledding regions" is not that high.
  25. Or perhaps move to where you can, if needed.....
