  1. I don't know where you ride - or what you ride - but it's undeniable that a studded track/sled not only handles better, but is safer in almost 100% of conditions. You either have never ridden one, or are lying to yourself in an effort to convince yourself to not spend the $500.00 bucks. Even back in the old days - when you wanted to get power to the track - that had lugs below 1" - I couldn't imagine ripping around on my XCR 800 or piped up triples with no studs and I can guarantee you that a studded sled vs a non studded would blow the doors off you, it's not up for debate, it's a fact. To each their own - I will never ride in Ontario without them and neither will my kids.
  2. Over 30 years riding - only sled without studs was our 1988 Polaris Sprint Every sled after has been studded - and will always be studded. Zero interest in pre-studded- enjoy doing it myself and my kids will not be riding without them under my roof for nothing more than control/safety concerns.
  3. There won't be any "deals" when there is limited numbers and people are buying - I mean the margins are small all the time anyway.
  4. I got a quote on a Seadoo yesterday - the owner was kind enough and said sell yours private - you will do WAY better - he'd love it on a trade - but sell it private.
  5. I found one I wanted- but its not delivering until the end of July. so 2022 it is......
  6. Congrats! Maybe I should list mine and see what I can get for it
  7. Yes, Where do you guys go? I was looking on-line - looks like a decent amount of places in the province which are legal. His buddy backs onto Gopher as well - sounds likes it's fun out there.
  8. Nice, congrats. We are hoping to get bikes for this year - hockey is still king for the winter around here
  9. This mean you sealed the deal?
  10. Talked to a dealer today - said he can't keep ink in his pen since the release of the new line-up - order after order coming in - going to be a good year for dealers - which is nice to see.
  11. Licensed or not is not the point - that will have zero bearing in the end. But I am curious, which I am sure he is too, which is it...... 1. If he has no license - is he a legal restaurant? Did they shut down a "business" that was never an actual business? did they shut down a "restaurant" - openly defying an order, or did they shut down a guy having a bbq for his friends? Interesting.......
  12. 21 years of claims and I can count on one hand how many people have said " you know, it's my fault" lol
  13. I think that is my jacket model now that you say it - sounds familiar. It's a great jacket - I won't get rid of it anytime soon. Depending on the weather - if -10 or colder - I wear a t-shirt and sweater of some sort - above -10 it's either just a t-shirt or a thin long sleeve t-shirt type.
  14. It will always have inherit risk and it will always be someone else fault ( in our own heads )
  15. 100% - I think in my own poorly laid out post - this is what I was getting to. I'm must glad to see the locals who live there are getting to ride. be well - be safe
  16. Saw an awful lot of sleds out and about in Langton area yesterday - looked like a lot of fun and trails looked great, was jealous.
  17. I totally agree and understand 100% where you are coming from and what you are saying. When those businesses close, they know who they can thank for that. For me, I'm caught in my own head with it - and I know I'm alone here - and I am okay with that, but part of me says "support the local businesses" - the other part of me says supporting anything in that PHU allows this one idiot to continue forward - it just doesn't cut it for me - the only thing I can do is speak with my wallet - he lives there - he did this - he made the decision, and as long as he holds that position, then I'm out.
  18. Last time I checked your pass said ONTARIO Federation of Snowmobile Clubs. I guess the "buy where you ride" - will now be for your 50 mile loops - gated at both ends. Each district can be it's own Haliburton Forest - yippee!
  19. Give an example? Cause millions of people are moving around from place to place in this province every day, what is it exactly you see from people?
  20. I have a Klim jacket - can't recall what model, but I love it, have NEVER been cold in it. My kid has a new FXR Floatex - seems to be very warm as well.
  21. Glad to hear for the locals - should have never been closed in the first place. For anyone else travelling to the area - make sure you stock up on everything you need to ensure you don't spend a single cent in the area. Cheers
  22. You are Canadian Citizens, go ride and stick the boundaries up your you know what.
