  1. If only we could pay a larger carbon tax we could get to be sledding in may.
  2. Lets all just be happy Trudeau is not running the show. Otherwise every permit dollar, plus a few million borrowed would go to a buddy that is listed as groomer operator on every single groomer. Once it was bankrupted a simple shoulder shrug is all you would get.
  3. After reading this I weasd surprised not to see a request to send your SI# along with banking info to the Nigerian recruiter.
  4. The dealers usually are not as uptight about the warranty hours paid as are the techs doing the work. It depernds how much cp work is not getting sold due to warranty sucking up shop time.
  5. Dealer gets cost plus 10% in auto warranty parts in automotive, should be the same in powers ports. They incur costs to handle parts.
  6. IMO after sale service is the most important aspect of a business. Price stops being a concern as soon as there is an issue and it goes unresolved. That is when you wish you went to where the service is great and the price is a little higher. Today good service is a rare thing to find. It is not the norm and bad service the exeption, it is quite the opposite. Sad but true.
  7. No, we do not have the technology to make these complex items. Thankfully China has stolen it and is passing it on to us.
  8. Finally got home. Had this waiting for me so I installed it this morning. Nice quality and will allow to easily plug in my trickle chargers etc. Install was about 1/2 hour and very simple. 50mm hole saw first from inside through 3/8 pane and put just pilot through exterior aluminum, then go from outside to line up. 4 self tappers and secure wiring inside.
  9. I have a garage and a garden garage that is 12 by 20. I have three sleds two motorcycles and a riding mower and still want room to actually do work in the garage as well as all my saws and tools are taking up space. I can fit all this stuff in my spaces, but then have no room to do anything. Storing the sleds in the trailer helps with space for sure. I have a large property and will be storing the trailer in the back in shade.
  10. Makes sense, think I will do it. Thanks.
  11. I intend to store our sleds in the trailer over the summer. It has no vents. Is it imperative that I install a couple due to condensation? I will be install an electrical 120 volt plug in for the battery tenders and figured seeing I am already doing that it may be a good time to add vents.
  12. Did you find a place that sells lumber at a decent price?
  13. Mine went to well over 60k kms. I just gave it to a buddy up north for next to nothing. Her is not working and has an ice hut, it is now being gently used to go fish. Still runs great. Now the kid needs a new sled.
  14. Buy the most expensive. This will guarantee an end to covid and you guys wintering in Florida. Do your part, we are all in this together.
  15. We were on a saddle bag trip a few years back. Both other riders were 40 year plus sledders. Got to Elliot, our route was to go south, one of the guys decided to run north and lead, wrong way. other guy follows. I then sit and wait for them to realize. After a couple of minutes I give chase. I come over a hill, both of them are stopped on the blindside, both sleds in a different track. Had to do some fast moves to avoid hitting the parked sleds. They stopped there to assist a guy that went off trail and was stuck. Not sure what the hell they were thinking.

Ice with zero snow is the only time studs make a difference for me. Otherwise I much prefer a ton of carbide and no studs. My set up may cause many that have ridden with studs for a lot of years to see the ass end come around and pass them, but when you know how to handle it, for me it just works. Now stopping on an icy trail, you lose a lot, but for 90% of trail riding I find it better and more fun. I do not race and do not pin it on trails when starting out so track spin on hard pack is not an issue. No doubt, if you are on hard pack and feel the need to pin it out of every corner, studs are better.
  17. Take offs. Dealer removed these prior to us taking delivery of our new truck. 750 for the four of them.
  18. Nothing, we discussed it and others have done the odd fix on it.

Looks like a puncture may have happened. This is good news as long as the overhear was not severe.
  21. That bridge is condemned. STP researched getting an engineer to stamp it and add ity to the trail system. Estimated cost was over 200k ten years ago.
