  1. Really? Road traffic has right of way. If that was a car, even if they signaled to come out from the shoulder, they have to enter the roadway safely, with enough distance to get in to the traffic lane, and up to speed safely with the flow of traffic, without impeding it, or causing any issues. Being a snowmobile in this situation, it is even more on the snowmobile. The road traffic always has the right of way. Ski
  2. No different than automobiles... You need to be aware of your surroundings. Head checks (all directions), and check again, then keep checking while you cross roads, bridges, trail crossings. Just winging it, could end up badly for everyone. Not turning to look to see what is coming via front, back, crossing, is just plain stupid. Just like running or rolling stop signs, at intersections. That is on you... Use your brain, for more than a hat rack. Ski
  3. Snow pile in the front yard is starting. It is adding up, little by little. We didn't get the big snow event Wawa and Hawk received. I heard 40" in 48 hours. We only received 4-6". That's lake effect for you. Need to go up this week, to shovel decks, walkways, and garage, barn entries. Get out there, while you can. Ski
  4. Good to see you check in, and post here BP. Good info! Ski
  5. https://www.christmaslightsetc.com/p/500-foot-c9-commercial-light-spool-spt2-green-wire-61558.htm And bulb choices https://www.christmaslightsetc.com/p/C9--Cool-White-OptiCore-LED-Replacement-Bulbs-13604.htm#F373V332 We purchased 500 of the commercial C9 large sized opticore bulbs, extra male and female plugs, etc... choose your length, color bulbs, plugs, and go. Looks like there is a sale right now. We went with 1 foot bulb spacing. We have the entire perimeter, peaks, and corner drops covered on a 30x60 barn, costs us about 500 usd. But, we have a lot of extras to do more. This way you are buying everything separately but, getting what you want. They have 50 and 100 foot pre-mades but, unsure if they are the commercial units we have. The cool white is white white. the warm white is more of a yellow color. The wife researched, and found these, then waited for a super sale, (Christmas in July) and then bought them. now at least you have the website, and can search shop, for what works for you. Good Luck! Ski
  6. Yes, for sure, give me a few. She is a travel nurse and works surgery. I will text her, asking name brand, and where she got them. Ski
  7. My wife got tired of leds going out on whole strings, (this is our third time putting completely new lights on the barn), so she bought high end commercial units. You can cut, and splice the lengths, remove and add light sockets, and male and female ends for custom correct length applications. In these units, the led bulbs are replaceable too so, no more whole strings going out for no reason, and no way to fix them. You can choose the color of bulbs you want, or choose the changeable colored bulbs, with a programming module. We tried everything, fuses, replacing bulbs in every socket, etc... Nothing would get the bad strings running again. These have been pretty stellar, they have been up for 7 months, we have had 2 bulbs "go out" I tapped on them, and they came back on. She didnt even opt for the extra bright, and these are off the charts. I swear the Canadian Air Force knows when these come on, and could call the Township stating they detected a launch of some sort. LOL! They actually have a brighter bulb option. LOL! These throw a 30 foot halo around the building now. She waited until they ran a sale, and bought enough to do the barn, and then some. They regularly send her discount codes for 20% off. Ours are red and white only, we did that to pay homage to the Canadian heritage colors. It really looks good in person, many towns people tell us, how much they love what we did down there, to clean up the site, and make the barn, river area look nice. Ski
  8. Coming in from the north, you will have this, guiding you home to Dubreuilville. Ski

Gotta be realistic, and a better weather person, than is in the media. Sorry If reality ruffles feathers. Ski https://weather.com/weather/tenday/l/605066c069b670e8a4ebad306705a8dd6b25d52a8734d7ea13836ba6c03fa32f

And then another warm up and rain coming, next week for central great lakes region . Central lower michigan calling for 30s-40s and rain, for several days. Showing above freezing temps from the 22-30th. Ski
  11. Calling for 3-5" today, that might be enough to start packing some areas. Late start for sure. It is starting to look better. Hoping the next warm up, doesn't go that far north. Ski
  12. The Batchawana Blob has set up, and the squalls will continue, until morale improves. LOL! Ski
  13. All automobile drivers can be charged in the states, for not cleaning the roof, prior to driving. And are held responsible and really charged, when their roof load hits another vehicle and causes damage or an accident. Ski
  14. Again, missing a pretty good sized market share, in my opinion. Maybe they will bring something out in the catalyst chassis, for spring buy. time will tell. To me, if the mono rail was all that, all the mfgs would be narrowing up the skids, until the patent wore out, then made their own version of the single rail. Ski
  15. Go stand on one 2x4 on edge, and then 2, 2x4's tied together, side to side about 12-13" apart... tell me which one you think is more stable. I'll wait. I hope Mrs. O, doesnt have to run you to the mergency. I honestly dont have to ride it, to see where I would have an issue. I have zero interest in trying one. zero. I have heard of guys putting on 4 wheel kits in the back, and or "training wheel" kits on them, to make them more stable, for what I am talking about. If you are going that far, pull the single driver shaft, and the monorail, and install a regular 2 driver shaft, and the twin rail, in my opinion. Ski
  16. Not anymore... https://arcticcat.txtsv.com/snowmobile/crossover/riot-x And even before that, they didnt give them a mountain track like the XF High Country sleds. You could get them in 1.6 or 2.0 (dual rail) but, not the 2.25 Powerclaw or 2.6 Powerclaw. Those tracks are legendary, in the deep. At least they are now sending them with the 2.6 but, I really think they are missing their market. I have no interest in the single rail. It might be great for the steep and deep but, we ride way too many trail miles to get to those areas, and being on a single tippy rail, is just not for me. Ski
  17. Bring back the dual rail suspensions, as an option, for at least the crossover segment. puleeeeease!!!! Ski
  18. Getting a little here and there. Single digit Fahrenheit temps, helping freeze things up. Ski
  19. if it is soft and fluffy, a leaf blower works great. otherwise, a long handled broom. Ski
  20. As are you. For me, oil and filters are cheap. rebuilding any motor, 4t, 2t, Diesel, are not. I know it never hurts to change oil early. Ski
  21. They (Yamaha) dont care. They just need to get you through the warranty period. Then they can wash their hands of you. Just like Toyota and the 10,000 mile (mile) oil changes... No thank you Toyota. Ski
  22. That is way too long on any internal combustion engine. Even with full synthetic, and a good quality filter I try not to go over 10,000 km on autos, trucks. On our motorcycles (street), it is less than 3000kms. Higher revving/load engines, will need more frequent intervals, throw in condensation, and you need more changes, more often. It is cheap insurance, for motor longevity. Ski
