Yes Middle Brook Cabins great stay there and phenomenal trails/backcountry in that area  . Craig took us there the week before SnowTrax crew was coming in we were the Guinea pigs for the tour he was going to do with them lol.

Laforce is 100% closed and boarded up. We did Val do'r to Latulipe it was 181kms. no problems for our group. 1-XRS 900 turbo R, 1- Sidewinder with 240 tune, 1- 850 XRS and 1- Attack 1000   

Thanks. Two of us independently checked 511on Monday AM between 9:30 and 10:30 looking for highway 11 closures, and didn't find any. We weren't looking at the camera shots, however. Lots of travellers in the hotel this morning in the same boat. We heard this AM in NB that the highway was closed Monday around 8 AM, but the closure posting on 511on came closer to noon. Others said the weathernetwork roadmap showed the closures around 10:30. Too late for us by then we were on the road - fat, dumb and happy! We should have been more persistent this morning in try to find the expected opening time, but that seems to be kept a secret. Could have got 3 days riding in. Unfortunately we had to get home Saturday.

Lots more purple on the map now. Dont see any action around Amos yet. Valdor club posted they're going out without the drags on to clear snowbanks at crossings and pack. Not sure if Rouyn, malartic, la sarre amos are doing the same but im sure they'll all be in fine form by the weekend. I'd like to do a loop this time as opposed to rapid 7(309)up and back.  On a side note, i wish Winneway wasnt such a long scratch for fuel. Not sure if laforce actually has gas still but its a shorter detour run up the shoulder/ ditch i think. Winneway to cadillac is doable without the caddy and avoids the malartic crap shoot. Can anyone, or maybe 1049 confirm if laforce actually has fuel and it was just the reroute that cut them off? Might try la tulip to cadillac and dump the caddy's in at the valdor shelter. It would be tight for fuel but malartic is always an option too.  I also refuse to go through valdor ever again since the bullcrap atv stop sign ticket a few years back. $450, so 900 total for the two of us still makes me mad.
