I went from bottom to top yesterday on the East side of the lake and it was jn the best shape I have ever seen in the 5 years I have been living here. Hardly a hump or bump to be found. Good snow and smooth sailing the whole way.    Unlike years past where humps and drifts made it a painful crawl. 

Rode across the lake in a couple of directions.....I think 130/140km in total. Talked to a few fisherman/operators - Kempenfelt has around 8" and southern portion I was told 12" to 15". Still lots of slush swamps to look out for though. Pressure cracks seem to be not as bad as I recall they used to be. Saw no vehicles on the lake oddly enough other than at the shore - maybe weekend warriors will be pushing their luck..... River in and out of Soldiers bay was good.   Lake Simcoe appears to be in great shape - been a while since it has been.
