    • The real insult to the volunteers is the MOU bs from last year and the resulting trail reroutes and hard labour for weeks on end for said reroutes only to be told those trails will close this year.  Question. When is the deadline to apply for a permit increase from the MTO?  What date was the vote for the permit increase?
    • I don't think a volunteer in any capacity ever owes anyone an explanation as to why they are stepping away. For me, its a nothing needs to be said other than thank you - and that's it.
    • For many it's a huge step to walk away, one that certainly doesn't come easy. Especially if it was ingrained in your lifestyle for more than half your life. When I finally made up my mind to leave PPSC certainly felt like I was jumping off a ship. Knowing what you know about everything to do with how trails came to be and get put down, looking in from the outside is tough.
    • Folks that decide to stop and volunteer at whatever they may be volunteering at, I never considered it giving up or jumping ship when it happens, usually more of a thought of thankfulness for the time they did and then the thought of I hope someone is able to fill that void - we each come to a point for whatever reason we have decided that we decide to stop or step away, pause, or whatever. I know for myself and most I know that have stepped away from a volunteer position, it is not an easy decision - the thought creeps into your head, you dwell on it for a bit or usually a while and then decide to stop - I have always said that if you are not in the right mindset when you volunteer for whatever, you likely should not be doing it.
    • and try to play nice in the sand box I am sure while still on board....lol
