The melt is on, the big orange blast furnace will be taking it's toll on the snow pack in the next week. We are heading up in a few days to fish the last week of our walleye season. It ends the 14th. If you want to ride, you better get it in. The Big Bear in Hawk Junction will be closed for a few weeks, after today. I saw on the book of feces, a few people rode from Searchmont to Wawa and back over the last few days. There is riding but, towns will be a challenge. Ski

Lol not trying to hi-jack.  The qc trails in question are basically in the same area weather wise.  Just a hop over the border which is how there is some relevance.  Glad you're having a good trip.  Have fun and please do continue to report back.  Based on your report I take it you didn't see a lot of rain on Saturday?

While true, it would be interesting to know why they stopped grooming that section. There is lots of snow there.

How did this thread morf to QC? Brutal out of Matheson and Val Gagne. Expect those trails to close. Moving avg speed only 45kmH compared to winter 60kmH avg. We got to Cochrane about 1330hrs. Went to fire tower and back. I figure A trail only has a few days left if sunny.
