    • Appreciate the responce, as soon as that route opens we will be up there. It has been a long time since we have visited the area(2016). Hope to bring back the memories when we first started taking that route(1996)
    • We got out Thursday and did the route through Griffith.  Trails were really really good for about 90% of what we rode and the other 10% was decent too.  Was around a 370 km day.     Looking ahead thinking we’re going to go again this Thursday.  Still open on route ideas, but thinking one of the following   Plan A - Emsdale - Kearney - South River or Sunridge to Port Loring and back.  9 am start from the visitors centre lot in Emsdale.  Anyone familiar with this area please chime in on the route as I’m less familiar with this side of the park.  Looking to avoid the railbeds and the twisty windy trail.  If they can haul logs out on it it’s my kinda trail.     Plan B - Find somewhere to unload near Kemptville and do a loop towards Morrisburg and further east.  There is some pipeline corridors that run parallel to the 401 that have been on the bucket list to checkout.  If anyone is familiar with the area please point us towards the best trails to check out.  I normally avoid going south of seven to snowmobile.  But am told dist 1 in this area is worth checking out.  Looks like they have the snow right now to make it worth while.   Plan C - Head back to Bancroft / Birds Creek and pick another loop in this area.     Reply back here if you’re interested and if so which route you’d prefer.  I’ll put together some maps with route options again later tonight.
    • In real nice shape in ASC and Tall pines area today. A bit on the loose side on d101 to asc shelterbut the carbides never scraped a rock which i've never seen on a saturday in that area. 76 was mint! 65 66 and the wolf loop were good, few face slappers and off cambered coners but no complaints. Fuel at Mountain Trout House. Only bad spot was west of Raven lk on d101 where the summer atv's have made it hard to groom. Been like that a while now and only gets worse each year in that small section. Dinner at Cast Iron, then hammered it back home thru hgr. Not much traffic today. Very little if any chatter bumps after supper. The Rmotion still got its feeding but not like a usual saturday evening around here. 258km

    • @1049, is correct on the 256. It varies depending on the trails utilized by the clubs due to logging/re-routes. Generally speaking in miles it is 90 miles from Searchmont to Halfway Haven (not open, no fuel no services). Then it is approximately another 70 miles to Wawa from Halfway. You can contact Kirk, through the Wawa snow drifters fb page, and contact someone from the Soo club on fb as well, they will verify distances for you. Ski
