On saturday we ran into southern Georgian Bay opp in D7, 4 on patrol and on my return to Orr lake got waved through by Huronia west opp for permit check. They are out around here, which is a good thing.

I remember those days with 2 permits too.   We have been stopped in D7 about 4 times.  Quick check on plate sticker, permit and once for proper paperwork.  Oh and checking to make sure helmets are done up.

Rough as in it hasn’t been groomed or rough as in bare patches and creeks collapsing the trail? ms

Was supposed to ride from gaspe to sled den today but when we woke up we by fluke noticed a big portion of trail 5 closed just east of sled den - made some phone calls and found out they had 10’ drifts and the reason for the closure, so we made the decision for a reroute and change in plans…arrived at our destination and trail 5 is no longer closed…🙄 lots of chopped out trails today, hopefully tomorrow things are in better shape.  big swing in temps too…much colder.
