Somethings from China sure, but then don't ever come and complain about jobs, state of the economy, etc.
When you outsource your commodities to slave economies you dont build up your own sectors and economic power centres.
Small economic fact, the more of a product you build or manufacturer usually the cheaper it becomes to produce.
Ask yourself, are you going to buy a Chinese Cat?................not me.
Yep, need to find the balance, the right one too - perhaps decide what products are best kept in house vs. out sourced abroad......but do you want someone else making that choice for you or you making your own choice
As a company owner, it would be or should be great to use local resources, but if that means not making ends meet as a result of that, your hand is forced to make it work by possibly looking abroad......or maybe you now need government support to justify an agenda to use local that we see going on all over the place for other items and many strongly disagree with.
I agree, but not all see that and they look for the "cheaper" option to save a buck or two now....that also might end up meaning more service repairs or safety concerns or making another purchase sooner than you would if you had bought something locally made.
Cost of a product in North America often relates to quality. North American or European built usually is much better built vs Chinese.
i see Chinese construction equipment entering the market. There is a stigma attached as they have to prove their worth and reliability is a big factor as is parts and repair facilities.
Look at all the little mini excavators at auction now. Chinese products flooding the market for a fraction of price but then you see them being advertised for sale with issues.
