Hello to all
Planning to do this loop over 5 days, a bit later in the season. Any advice or suggestions from those who have done it in the past year or two would be greatly appreciated.
There seems to be an issue with gas availability for the 260 Km section between Chapleau and Black Creek Outfitters. Any suggestions?
How did you break up the trip and where did you overnight?
Thanks for any info.
haven't been on here since the passing of sled junk.met alot of great people on here,i recall alot petty arguing & almost trolls on here.but here i am,started out trying to reconnect with few buddies fire 242 & fabio (message me please, gonna put the band back together) u too blake.glad to see nutter is still a strong advocate for the ofsc.been away from sledding for 3 yrs due to low snow & buying cottage on lake st john.started ice finishing....so short story long,i wanna help open the trails.not going for lunch in norland or hooking up to b103 is a shame.any hoo enuff about me,nutter if u could message me about when & where i will try to get a few guys to help,,,stay safe,,,thx...to be clear bruce both did a amazing job for decades taking care of those trails
I didn't say you could have it both ways - and as I said, i get it and totally understand why the legislation is written as it's written.
All I was saying is my 16-20 year old self can identify with today's young riders and their "view" of snowmobiling as it comes across their phones and why they are drawn to the things they're drawn to. I don't be grudge them for it and can totally understand where they are coming from.
We have canned sleds go by our place on the lake plenty. I don't get up from the couch or my bed and shake my fist in the air and get all bent out of shape about it. If anything, I think, man that person is probably having a lot of fun right now while I'm sitting on my ass doing nothing.
that was it
We received a good dump here yesterday. Groomers have been out. Some notorious wet spots are still wet/water running. Some colour coming very soon(tonight/tmo).
Unfortunately, the hard lesson learned in this situation gets downloaded to everyone who enjoyed those trails, working people being woken from sleep over and over tend to loose their sense of humor quickly, sensitive crops getting damaged and so on.
I've stated on this forum that I am far from a model rider. I absolutely fail to see any speed limits posted but good sense goes along way.
Guess I'm just pissed because it's trails that I rode on a regular basis.
As for snow, it's spotty around here and up the Peninsula. no sign of grooming yet.
