Dan-Senior
Some photos taken in Elliot Lake this past weekend, including the huge fishing derby where the winner went home with $35,900. Saturday was sunny and Sunday was snowing.

Panther340
Funny thing is that first picture that shows Horne Lake...well that lake from 1957 thru to late 70's took all the overflow from the single stage Sewage plant that was right across the highway (100 yards behind the arena) . Horne lake was dead for many years. Many old timers like me would never want to eat the fish from that lake even now. Must be stocking it now with splake maybe? Dan-Senior
Its back to Elliot Lake again tomorrow. This time, we will snowmobile from Sault Ste. Marie and call it our last OFSC Trail ride of the year. Reports are still positive about trail conditions in our area, so we will take the opportunity to enjoy. This season appears to be very similar to last year's characteristics, where riding wraps up around this time of the year. Perhaps the traditional arctic cold-snap will be back in future years for us to enjoy. We know its still there because Eastern-Europe was affected this winter.
