First Off - a shout out to Luc the Groomer Guy. Reading the posts it is obvious that the OFSC is down one of their best not to say the Towns that should be kissing his ass for helping to bring in the sledders!!!

Saying that, does anyone know what the possibility of Kirkland Lake opening up this weekend. We are planning on heading up for the weekend as we do not have any trails open down here in the big smoke.

Ideal would be if we could ride out of New Liskeard.

Thoughts?

Thanks Luc!!!!

I doubt it. Heard Timmons will be at least another week maybe 2 before they are ready. I say by the 20th kl will be open.

We live 10 minutes North of Englehart, and the groomer went by here yesterday afternoon and returned last night. Lots of snow from here North for sure. Trails south of here, towards Liskeard, are limited as the wind has wreaked havoc on the trails in the fields.

We called Kirkland lake this morning and they said there is no snow. Can't remember what lodge we called though. Is it close to opening up there?

Kirkland has been posted as limited on the OFSC. We are getting conflicting information about the snow amounts then because apparently there is a fair bit of snow. I also spoke with the Petro in Iriquois Falls and they said that the A is not only open north but has not been updated south to KL.

They have snow. To the locals it isn't much. I have heard fields are windblown and there are bare spots in fields. Good snow starts near timmins. By the 19th kl will be fully open, no worries.

Got lots of snow, and supposed to get anywhere from 10-20 cm from now till Friday. Was up in Timmins on Sunday and maybe a little less snow than us actually. Groomer was out again today, have been river running/crossing for 3 weeks now here also. We have approx. 40 cm on the level and weatherman says anywhere from 10-20cm from now till Friday. Just a few minutes south of Englehart you get into the field trails and we had some serious winds last couple days, (could hardly get out laneway this mornin'), and you know what wind does to field trails. If you come up, get to Englehart, or anywhere north of there, and you're good to go.

Thanks a bunch for the warm welcome everyone. Don't be afraid to ask about conditions anytime, will do my best.

Supposed to get a good dumping of snow on Thursday, so be prepared travelling. Last thing I want is to hear about anyone on here getting in an accident, just trying to get up here for some fun.

Other than that, hope you all have a great time.
