It's around the corner from us but once a winter I do something nice for my wife. The Inn is a rather upscale resort right in Port Severn with the C trail running past the front door. They didn't used to want sledders but the new management is happy to have us. Stayed there for the weekend. They have a sledders special $52.50 per person including breakfast. The room was great as was the food. They were really happy to have us there. The part that keeps the wife happy is they have a spa in the resort. Send your wife down for the massage manicure and pedicure. Great day of sledding for both of you. Great spa session for her great night for you. We introduced newbie sledders to Port Severn trailer parking area, and they turned what was supposed to be an afternoon sled tour into a weekend by staying at Christie's Mill. They raved about how good the Port Severn trails / Georgian Bay (escorted) trails were. Glad you had a similar experience at Christie's Mill. I called last week regarding rooms for last week-end and the only thing available for Saturday (Feb 20th) was a room with breakfast, dinner, and theatre for $323.00. I guess it's wise to book early. We look forward to seeing more sledders this winter and in years to come. As you mentioned, the Inn has some great packages to offer, and as and some time at the spa, will keep you in the good books, or a soak in the hot tub after a run. We did have a Special Event on that weekend, that limited the package offering to only our Falty Towers Theater Package. From time to time, we do offer only a specific package, but try not to do this more then once in a given month. We like to leave the options open for the visitor to select a package that is perfect for them, but in this case it was due to seating times in the dining room for the Theatre Event.
