I've fixed the few complaints I had other than BRP GO and the Ice Ripper track. The next sled will have basic shocks, a ripsaw track with regular studs and a basic gauge package. I like the mach but for me its a buy and keep unit. ( famous last words) I honestly would like a short track 850 xrs or am 850 Assault for my area. and the 7.8 inch gauge is way too overly complicated for what it is

I have used the original Polaris PIDD gauge and now the 7s on last 2 machines. In my mind it makes no logical sense not to have a GPS gauge on a sled as a standard! The ability to backtrack on your trail or follow a previous ride is for me a must have. And Polaris Maps are based on trails from previous years and show old trails on lakes. Very handy to allow you to find shortcuts down lakes instead of road rash for kms. What those program lack is telling the riders if the trails are open or closed. We were working on upopened trail a couple of weeks ago and most of the sleds we waved down would tell us that the trail shows open on their dash screen. Y'ah really, well this guy with me is the gentleman that opens and closes these trails. You need to check the ITG because your dash won't tell you its open..

Never had anything like that, and never felt any need either. i think it’s more of the I don’t know what I am missing, well because I don’t know what I am missing. I am not a tech person. i don’t own a personal computer, have never owned or worked a gps unit, and have never been to the “app” store. i am a 95 year old 48 year old lol.

We follow the ITG and have a good idea where we are going. Saturday the E and B trails were beat up bad. We were able to find trails down Benoit and Elephant lake that locals used on Polaris gauge. Also the feature to mark your trail and then follow your old route is very helpful. We could easily follow our route home in the dark on Baptiste Lake. No I did not leave in dark or intend to come back in dark but it happens!

A couple guys I know have had their stock Skidoos set up there and they are very happy with results. Snowmobile Suspension Setup by Accelerated Technologies: Skidoo Gen 4 XRS Handling Package | On Snow Magazine (OSM) Yes i've watched his social media stuff for a while. I've thought about it and I get what he's doing, but do i want to spend that much with labour or just put on a ras rx front end which isnt cheap either but could swap that myself for the most part except for the pressed pieces. The 25 xrs comp definately sits lower than my 24 and corners way better in my opinion. Rode em both and swapped ski's. The awkward ski lift is gone. 10 hours ago, stoney said: Otherwise you happy with the extra cc’s, I’d have to assume ? At times yes but in the tight twisty HGR trails it feels like im in too low of gear with an 30lbs up front. Awesome sled dont get me wrong. An animal. The 600r just keeps the rpm's up right where i want them in the twisties. The 850 im off the throttle sooner transfering weight.

I simply solved my lack of tech ability by riding with the younger generation . They can pull up which way to go ,trail conditions ,what days the restaurant is open what the hours are what's on the menu , soup of the day . if there is fuel near by, if they have premium , any road running to get to the location .When the temp. is going to drop and start snowing . All while l am trying to find my glasses . More power to the next generation . 5

Ya don't need to pay for his time, just buy the dual rate spring package and do the rest yourself. Perhaps there is some adjustment with what you have already, but I do not think there is enough adjustment based on the stock spring rates and you'll need new springs to obtain what you might be looking for - I have a friend that swapped his springs on his XRS and happy with the lower COG and increased handling characteristics that came along with it. Perhaps the 850 could use a clutch kit to get your rpm in a more happier spot for your style of riding as well.......one things I know I always found on my 800 sleds over the years was coming into the corners with brake and throttle at the same time to find that happy balance when looking to ride harder in the corners. (Kinda assuming the next sled would be my last.) At the time I wasn't looking for a Mach. I was only looking for a 137 900 T or R. I knew Mach's were out there but I was really looking for an 900R X because I wanted to stay under $15k. This sled came along for a bit over that so why not? Now I've gotten it to where I want it, I like it and it will probably stay for a while because there is nothing else out there that I want or need. I haven't spent much time fooling with the gauge. I know it can do a bunch of stuff. But what I can't understand is why I have to go through several motions to get the Trip on screen. Then if I shut the sled off I have to repeat those motions to get it back. Why can't the gauge remember my preferences and leave it that way? Maybe it can and I just haven't figured that out yet. ....lol
