J-Rock
Hi everyone, I am new to the sport and have a line on sled, but need to figure out a trailer. Based on the budget i have and storage room; would a 144' track fit in a 10 foot utility trailer? I appreciate any insight you experienced riders may have to offer,

That said, 144" track would be preferred for off-trail rising. That's not designed for trails, although can be ridden on trails, it will be harder to turn and maneuver. The depth of the track paddles is also a factor for how it will perform depending on your intended riding.
J-Rock
Thanks! It will more lake and river travel for ice fishing vs. trail riding. I will do some trails of course!

It's 12 foot box. 144 you could measure it from ski tip to snow flap and then you will know. my guess is it be under 12 feet by 4 or so inches. stoney
Utility trailer is likely an open trailer vs. enclosed, so you can have the sled further up on the trailer with no obstructions stopping you from placing it as far forward as possible. Will some of the track stick out the back, sure, but so does a sled in the 6-foot bed of a truck and there are no issues with that...for most. Good luck and enjoy sledding! Sksman
Just make sure the sled does not sit too far back on the trailer and reduce trailer tongue wait. Too little tongue wait and trailer will sway all over What sled are you looking at? Polaris Switchback assault is listed at 10.5 feet I thought mine was closer to 11ft. stoney
At 10 feet trailer and a 144”, I do t think the over hang will be much at all. My 141” fit in my enclosed that I believe is around 11 to 11.5 feet, but windshield hit the front roof first before skis were hitting front of trailer and there was still some room at the rear. Delta from 144 to 141 is what, extra 1.5” longer on the ground. But each sled manufacture is a bit different.
