Gadgetman
I want to offer a 2nd option on our 3 March day , Cochrane to Timmins. I already have going up to the Base Camp and then down to Timmins. But, I (most of us) haven't been on the C trail south of Timmins in about 15 years (the old Tree Bears Cabins). I'm considering going straight to Timmins, fuel up and then head south on the C to the Tata Chika Pika Lodge. I've pinged then to ask about a trail from the C and if they can provide a lunch. What is the C trail like south of Timmins - Hydro Line or bush (or both based on the map)? As anyone stopped there for fuel or lunch in last few years? There is a look out just south of the lodge off the C, great view?
RAMSOMAIR
Was there two winters ago for lunch and fuel. Did the L143 south out of Timmins and around the bottom and north on the C. Hosts were great, food was great and trails were great.

Yamatario
We were just there for lunch on Thursday and had some home made soup and fresh homemade bread that Annie had just made. That was all they had as they run the place themselves. Soup was awesome and hit the spot. The C trail down is completely different from years ago. It no longer runs the power line but instead runs logging roads. Trail was awesome and conditions were great. Lookout just south of them is a always great view.

Incredibly good food and great couple provding first class hospitality. The trail from Timmins to Tata Chika Pika was an excellent road based ride - a little open and fast for my liking, but exactly what most riders are looking for. Do it!

And my age group to boot.
