Turbo Doo
Similar theory like our Doo Oxygen helmets.... Thanks for sharing...
signfan
Yeah. I'm thinking it would work for the cord connection on the Oxygen between your coat and your sled cable. Or any other heated shield cable.

sledjunk
Neat idea, but I'll wait until they are a lot cheaper. $50 for a cable adapter that will still crack and fail in the cold after n twists and pulls. I'll find an alternate. JMO

manotickmike
I remember looking at carrying a 12v pocket sized battery in my inner jacket pocket. Like a Lithium power pack. Then I found an old ad from when Polaris marketed it, some years ago, minus the lithium thing, of course. I'm convinced hanging 8 feet of wire with a microscopic conductor and 6 (count 'em, 6!) connecters in -25 at 60 mph is not the best of ideas. Is nobody doing this? Maybe it's my next big million dollar idea.
signfan
Batteries are just a pain. You forget to charge them, they die mid day, etc. It would be great if the cords we buy started to use this magnetic connector. I agree too many connections is not a great idea. That said tape the redundant ones up like the instructions say and I doubt you will have issues.
