manotickmike Posted January 28, 2018 Share Posted January 28, 2018 After hearing positive reports about grooming and conditions, we decided to head E instead of N Saturday. A 30 minute commute had it's appeal, when faced with a rain and meltdown forecast for mid-day..... Had PM'd with Paul earlier, and agreed to try to meet on the trail. We arrived in Limoges to -10 at 8:30 AM, and found a well groomed but crusty surface of dry snow mixed with 1 cm thick ice cubes. Locals dropped by to say the trails were not great through the fields, but the forest should be fine. Paul was approaching from the SW, as was warmer temps, so we were in no rush to head out. Racked up another 100k or so, found a GREAT twisty woods trail 1/2 hr from home, met another OC member, and future riding partner, met Laura and Marcel on the trail, who showed us a great dining spot in Bourget (mmmmmm) and overall, had a great day!
