Yup, we got it ... total wet soup carnage.  Plows didn't do the town streets in Hearst, what a mess ... supposed to go to -6 overnight, that'll be rough driving tomorrow morning !

And the problem with building a $3 Billion dollar tourism industry on the backs of volunteers, is that by this time of year they are ready to call it quits and move on with their lives, and hopefully take a long vacation somewhere warm and dry.

Thanks for a great season, was up your way a couple of times this winter and have always enjoyed our times there.... Already looking forward to next season...

Thanks, Nunz, there's no doubt the visitors enjoy our product and the volunteers really appreciate the feedback. It would be great if we could just keep grooming until it's just not possible anymore, especially after the late season "events" like we had yesterday, but the truth is there comes a point when the towel gets tossed.

Some clubs have embraced the tourism business side of things, and others have yet to understand it and prefer to cling to the good 'ol days and post lots of nostalgia on Facebook hoping to bring back the glory days of club membership. Our District seems to be in a bit of a transition right now (a new District Administrator and executive elections upcoming), so the next year is going to be interesting for our volunteers.

At the core of it all are the guys who actually groom the trails, and take an awesome amount of pride in doing it. But there comes a time when we have to let them have some time off!

Have really enjoyed following the OC this year. Hope to meet up with some of you next season.

Yes so I've heard ... Candace has left her position on D15 executive and is moving into the powersports business, having purchased the local Ski-doo dealership in Kap. Lots of transition coming for you, hope some positive changes come for the area. We'll be watching from left field. Awesome trails this winter, enjoyed riding over there. The 123 is a beauty, as is the Moonbeam area.

Thanks to you all, the volunteers!!!
