Can't speak to the accomodations but we went there for dinner the other night and were very impressed with the meal. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a good meal at a reasonable price. sledjunk
Are they near the trails? IIRC, the only lodgings near the trail are on the very outskirts of town.

Canuck
Dunlop Lake Lodge is where we start/end. Hoping to do the Snow Train north from Sault Ste. Marie this year, and a volunteer at the Sled Show suggested that I drive to Elliot Lake; sled to Sault Ste. marie, hop on the train with sleds, get off in the north (knock knock, Luc) and continue North / East then back south. Love the trails around Elliot Lake. (too bad about Flame Lake Lodge closing for the season)
Blackstar
Dunlop Lodge north of Elliot Lake has new owners and are reopened, offering a snowmobile pkg. That a great spot. Too bad nobody seams to be able to keep it going. I haven't been there since Doug and Dianne owned it, about 10 years ago now. Love riding that area.
