This is Trail 15min East of Orillia (103) from Sunday afternoon as we were driving by. Water water and bare patches everywhere.. Not sure this will recover especially with the +10 this week.. Will be just more water and the base is about 1inch so almost gone... Need snow..
Must be a weird snow zone then as south has snow and north has snow.. Maybe south is more lake affect which they don't get.. Bizarre.. Fitting I guess for this very weird and disappointing season.

Any idea why these haven't opened at all this year.. Major gateway North? Looks like everything north and south is opened so is there some land use issues there? We normally stage out of Gogama when doing a North trip but that section is closed as well.

I haven't even started my sled this year It looked so unbelievable promising at Christmas with 3' of snow and then it all went POOF, and going POOF again.
Mike
Thanks for posting.. Hopefully we actually open a trail in that area.. Looking at long range forecast I am not all that hopeful the 103 will actually open this year. My cottage is right off the trail up by Dalrymple so its my access point to everything without using trailer... sigh...

My cottage is just up the road, and didn't even know they were installing a round about. Do you have a link to the plan for that or when its happening.. I know there is a lot of traffic there on Sundays with everybody going home.

We have a trip planned for next weekend to Pembroke, and into QC (Tremblant).. We were going to loop south of Algonquin but I think I have to reroute and go North and around.
sigh..
2-weeks ago had to cancel trip to Tobermory due to the monsoon that came through,.. This is getting frustrating.

Trying to plan a trip with my buddy and he needs this trail to get south from Parry Sound. Any idea if its opening soon or why its still RED?
Thanks
