  1. I respectfully disagree. There will always be those that loot stores in the middle of a hurricane.
  2. Does this mean the blooper reel from my dash cam will convict all of the scofflaws on my local roads? No?
  3. That and not being talked down to by horse face was worth getting off the couch and lining up to vote right there. My tandem cargo trailer is more roadworthy than any single axle, and yet I was going to be penalized for it by needing yet another tax grab dropped on me twice?
  4. I get the feeling I should know who you are. It's a small world!
  5. A little of this would go a long way. I was really surprised at the attention I got when I took matters into my own hands recently. It quickly escalated from a polite response to a 911 call, to 3 cars, and a follow up by the staff sergeant. Squeaky wheel gets the grease.
  6. A word of caution from my experience... There doesn't seem to be much of a end of travel stop on the screw. I typically cranked mine "over the top", just past the TDC so to speak, for stability. One time I was distracted, and went a bit too far. Sled fell forward, could have been a mess. I crimped the he-double hockey sticks out of the threads and exercised more caution since.
  7. Found this. You will first envy me, then jump on the bandwagon. Move fast before they sell out. Muffs
  8. I was going to pull the trigger on a pair, but seem to be sold out. Happily Amazon has 'em.
  9. My Intact, was ING, and I think Commercial Union before that.... Used to be handled by a small local office I walked into. Now it's still an office, but if I call, I get a LONG wait, and a call center. Same thing happened to my wife's insurance. I had a question about our new home, and it was 30 minutes before I got a human on the phone. We were both with our insurers a LONG time. I went with State Farm, (now Desjardins) because Intact won't touch a dirt bike at any cost. Then I insured the sleds through them, then the A class RV. If I call, I get the people in the same office I can walk in to. If they're going to take roughly 5k of my money every year, and ZERO claims for 20+ years, I'll be F'ed if I'm going to sit on hold waiting for them to take my call.
  10. We need to get Doug on a sled. I bet he'd fit right in with some of the live-wire characters I've met recently. (Names omitted to protect the innocent)
  11. Aggressive on a 136" Apex, 2nd set, very happy.
  12. Yikes. I had an incident with my (expletive deleted) 440 TNT back in the day. Throttle cable got pinched in a tight right hander, and I took my leave JUST before it hit a pile of construction waste and took air. One of my most vivid memories is that of watching it sail through the air, and lodging it's self in my clapboard siding garage wall. About shoulder high, track spinning. If it happened last year, I'd have had a cell phone pic of it. At that time, I just wanted as much of the evidence hidden before the GF saw it.
  13. AFAIK, Mattawa, a 15k detour on the 112 is the only option.
  14. Yup. Bikes and hikers for ~1.5k outside of the population centers... Then..... Crickets.
  15. Hmmmmm.... I prefer trails with turns. I can see the rail lines being OK for traversing an area in a hurry, and with good visibility. I prefer to ride (when I can!)up in the Missing Link area. Here's hoping the rail trail there will be an addition, not a substitution.
  16. Good news, even if you don't like rail trails.. More trails = more trails! Wonder what they'll do about some of those bridges?
