  1. They are giving the impression to people that the trail is open. No one is trailering up there. If you trailered up there, why would you need gas?
  2. Now it appears that the Base Camp guys are pissing on PBR. The Base Camp guys are saying they are open and everything is good to go yet the trail is officially closed.
  3. It is 332 kms from Amos to Lebel now through Matagami so definitely doable in a day. The whole loop back to Amos is 500kms.
  4. The guys at the Base Camp are hard core rednecks, but they cant seem to catch a break either. Every year it is something else. I cant really understand why they even bother?
  5. I agree. I think there is a lot more happening with regards to that section of trail, than 90% of the public is aware of.
  6. Sounds like there are more potential problems with that loop. One of those Sledaddicz guys said that they were told that there is a very strong chance that the entire loop will not re-open this year. I feel bad for the Base Camp guys. Why they bother to put up with all the land issue crap is beyond me? They cant be making that much (any?) money up there?
  7. Lot of talk it is closed permanently due to lack of volunteer staff. Maybe open for special events but thats it even if things were back to "normal".
  8. Next weekend is the plan. Might see you in Cochrane area.
  9. Raining in Mitchell right now. Hate to be Negative Ned but its going to be weeks before anything opens up down south (if at all).
  10. Talked to my dealer today. He said Smart Shox'ed XRSs are showing up any day but Mach Z Smart Shox are not expected to arrive at BRP until late Jan / Early Feb. The Mach uses a different shock than the XRS does (shorter).
  11. I dont think you will see massive price increases, but you will see these logistics charges on everything. Dealer cost will increase more than MSRP tightening margins forcing dealers to sell for MSRP + freight/PDI. A Seadoo has an $810 logistics charge on them today . A CanAm SXS is around the same as well. Warranty will drop to 2 years from 3 years. Dealers will stick to their allotments and not oversell like they did last year. Spring Break will be Mar 1 - Mar 30 but most dealers will be sold out before the end of the program.
  12. I ordered some parts a few weeks ago and got an email from Energy Powersports saying that picked up the order but everything was on BO. The gal from Energy was very polite and nice when she offered to just cancel the order. Problem is that BRP has charged me for the order and still hasnt credited me back after a week.
  13. FYI. Quebec Free Weekend postponed to Feb.
  14. FYI, the Qualipieces wheels kits were just recalled yesterday and a stop sale order was put on them.
  15. What windshield is that? The medium is on BO until Feb.
  16. My dads 2020 Indy 850 used within a litre of fuel that my 850 E-tec used and it holds 7 litres more fuel. 200kms no problem with an 850 Poo in normal conditions.
  17. I have my 21 850 but the 600 was for my dad to ride. He is already feeling guilty about it and saying with the new closures, shortened season and the fact that he is "COVID Cautious", he is ok to sit the year out. I am not there yet, but it sure is disheartening.
  18. Yes. That was the plan. Dealer opened crate and apparently a rodent has chewed the wiring all to sh-t. Wiring harness is on BO until Feb.
  19. With the current COVID BS that is impending and the lack of local snow in the forecast, I will seriously consider bailing and just ordering a 23 as I dont even have a hard shipping date for my 22 600XRS. I dont care if the price is supposed to "go way up". I would deal with that next year.
  20. Not trying to be Negative Ned, but with the lack of snow in the forecast for 90% of Ontario and the delays on sled arrivals, at what point to guys start to bail on their Spring Break/Check deals? I hate to say it, but I am not as excited to get my new unbuilt sled as I was a month ago.
  21. I love riding in Quebec but I think I may stay in Ontario this year unless they drop the current restrictions. I am not really into eating a gas station sandwich in a parking lot at -20c for most of my meals. Part of the Quebec experience is trying some of the awesome restaurants that are on the trails. If things loosen up, I would like to head back to Gaspe for a 4-5 day run in March.
  22. I really dont care. If the drivers arent allowed on the premises, then they arent much good to him. He can keep them employed, but just cant give them any jobs.
  23. We will be up there on the 15th weekend. If you are heading up, let me know.
  24. I just talked to my buddy and he confirmed he has let a couple of drivers go as they are not allowed in at least 80% of the places they deliver to. He said that at his company, he is at 95% double vaxxed for all drivers. The companies that they work for can mandate that only double vaxxed drivers are allowed on premises.
