  1. I was starting to wonder if you went off the deep end actually when the expected finally happened.... Me thinks you have lots to say, but biting your tongue.
  2. Just went out to grab my coffee as well passed by Simcoe to have a look. I would say it is a bit quieter out, but not really a great deal. Simcoe was still busy for a weekday as well.
  3. And it was recommended not to travel outside your unit to snowmobile, etc...but you still could.
  4. Nice. Maybe this Covid craziness has a pro.....more enforcement of illegal riders, etc....on the trails as a side affect!
  5. Yep, saw that the other day....just crazy people doing stupid things in light of the current times we are dealing with. I assume you saw this from Sean (OPP SAVE officer) as well than from earlier today: "The latest from OFSC https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.ofsc.on.ca/2021/01/13/no-change-for-ofsc-snowmobile-trails-at-this-time/__;!!ABXyrcI!d_5m4cSF8YAk49Aw06fTm6pmiARd2vFlu4Uzm1DN6nRl8b0NZyCJsVhjxOYSj-ogSC_t$ The OPP will continue to treat the trails as normal operations. There will be scrutiny on groups of more than 5. But expect education, not enforcement. Closed trails, helmets, no trail pass and aftermarket exhaust will continue to be high priority items for enforcement. Sean"
  6. Do you have more info on why they were fined? Either there is more to the story or something does not add up......or fines being issued that should not be, not a huge surprise.... There seems to be a gray area for sure in all of this, for now...... Driving alone or in your bubble to ride a sled outdoors and no places to eat inside, really has very little risk and no reason not to allow it.....but we will see. As for fines, we all know there will be fines issued, no doubt about that, we also know with the the past lock downs and now this one, the court system is already even more behind than they already were. I suspect most people who might get fined will opt to fight in court, at least they should be IMO, which I have a hard time believing many of them will make it to court given the above - but that is just my initial thoughts on this. Case and point is the vehicle stickers and the notice that was issued that people did not need to renew during these difficult times, but yet police still issued tickets due to lack of being kept informed, that unless you just paid the fine, that had no business being issued in the first place, would have ended up not needing to be paid. I even thought there was something reported to the effect of a judge basically telling the police services to smarten up and not waste already precious time for the incidents that this surrounded this.
  7. LOL. Love your attitude on some things
  8. Reading and seeing this stuff is just nuts....it is over the top crazy how society is getting so much worse, this fast over this whole thing.
  9. Please let your local MPP know this. https://www.ola.org/en/members/current Now you are making too much sense - we here in Ontario do not use that, highly overrated.....
  10. Would be interesting to see what is known at that level. On the bold, I was not suggesting all deaths are grouped into the Covid numbers, assuming that is what you meant by that, just that a death is a Covid death IF The person is positive, regardless of underlining issues they have, which I think is conveniently being used as a tool right now to support an agenda that is not making sense.
  11. Finally some news that makes some sense. There are just over 384 hospitals in Ontario and currently 1701 Covid case hospitalized, that you know are mostly in the hot spots, which will greatly reduce the numbers in the hospitals if they start moving some people around....perfect world, 4.4 covid cases per hospital, which you know that will not happen, but it is a step in the right direction.
  12. It all makes perfect sense, right...... So many gray area's. Going to be a lot more cases in the already overwhelmed court system very soon.......
  13. Yes, the sport does, but the issues lies in the type of people in society, and where we see all the trouble. Any regions close by with private land and trails will slowly disappear, already has......go further or need to make a greater effort to get to trails will not be affected as much because there is more work involved to get there and that is usually where you see the more diehard riders go that respect the sport more. As stated, very confusing.....exercise is allowed, sledding is a form of it and an outside activity, so you would think might be okay. I think someone already said this, but how can you have a stay at home order coming out one side of your mouth and than out the other side state no gathering more than 5 people......I assume while out exercising would be the example that it applies too.... If the OFSC closes the trails, that means they need to pay out next year, for those that actually buy again of course.......so there is incentive for them to keep trails open and my guess is for locals to ride only. No way it did, unless people were making stupid decisions while out. Saw three sledders today on the trails, talked to all of them and at no point were any of us closer than 6 feet....all of us packed a lunch & snacks as well.
  14. Yes, I agree, but I believe rather than someone spend the time or effort to say it was this or that, if C-19 was positive, it is a C-19 death regardless, that IMO skews the numbers that are being used to make decisions. Like I said, this was listed earlier on as a "**disclaimer" in a bunch of earlier notifications. At the end of the day, someone died, it really sucks and no one wants that outcome, but shouldn't be used as tool.

I hit 605, 606 & the E trail today, was going to do Kinmount and drive a little less but with all the reports of how busy it was and no new snow, figured I would try the other side and little further East. Saw about 6 trucks/trailers parked at Kinmount when I drove through. When I arrive it was freezing dribble that turned into some snow a bit later. 606 further South was wooped out, less snow for sure just a few 100 feet south of 605 oddly enough 605 was much better, more snow and less woops E was good. Some of the hills and low lying areas are thin and icy, but not too bad. Need more snow for sure......but that might not matter now...... Saw three older gentleman today on the trails, talked to them all for a bit, all enjoyed being out. Good first ride out, all went well.
  16. This is what the was being stated by the government in their earlier disclaimers with C-19 numbers, not some made up story or a faceplant post. I know 100% that I read it more than once, I do not see it being listed as a disclaimer any more though..... edit: given that he was a negative test, he would not be considered a C-19 death, it is the folks that were tested as positive that are part of C-19 deaths, even if it was cancer or some other sickness that really caused their death. Same for me, but my mother and it was Oct 2019.....mentioned it before on anther post and if she had lasted a few more months, she would have likely been listed as a C-19 death, but it was cancer that took her life.
  17. I do not think it is required at all and the approach thus far is poke and hope with no concrete info to suggest it will work or continue to work after a lock down is lifted, so what is the point other than to appease nonsense. I can see based on Ontario data that we can all see, death was high in first lock down. Deaths dropped in the summer when lock down was cancelled & warmer weather. Deaths & positive cases went up again in Nov when locks downs started again and weather turned colder.....and historically, deaths and hospitalization has always been higher during this time frame, this is nothing new or a Covid only thing. People infected mean little as the testing is so stringent that it is picking up many other things and people that are positive, majority of those people carry on just fine or sick in a bed for a week with flu like symptoms, but what is important is keep those at greater risk away from possible infectious people to mitigate what we all want to see less of - the elderly or those on the high risk bracket from dying. The number of Covid deaths really do not mean a lot either because they are looping ALL deaths to Covid if a persons that has died, that than tested positive for Covid, is a Covid death, even if the person had Cancer, other issues, etc......not related to Covid that was the true reason for their death - what is the purpose of this other than to fuel the plandemic. We can talk about still allowing people to leave and come into the country, people allowing to vacation out of country, politicians, etc......while the lock down is in place - that again makes perfect sense, right?!?!
  18. LOL....thanks. Correct, I missed the last part !

Ya, I imagine conditions will not be pristine, but I want to get out and I think the B103 will be in worst shape than E & 600 series.
  20. There is nothing stating you cannot travel, unless some new law was just implemented that has yet to be spread/announced. An OPP officer that you are familiar with on another forum confirmed just the other day that there is no such enforcement when he was asked, see below that I shared on another thread: "Great question... we encourage all people to abide by their local health unit and provincial guidelines. While there is a strong encouragement to avoid non essential travel there is no legislation outright banning travel. I've not heard of any checkpoints turning people around nor is there legislation to support that" Perhaps the officer did as above and you took it as instructions vs. encouragement or he was enforcing something that legally he cannot.... On the second bold part, this is exactly what is going on, people are acting and being crazy!
  21. That is correct, the "recommendation", not the "requirement", just talk to the OPP and they will tell ya that is not something they can enforce......but instead lets lie about things instead and cause even more paranoia, confusion, etc..... Things are messed up, no doubt about it.
  22. Seems to be lots of rumours going around, like OPP stopping people and telling them to go back, which is FALSE. Combination of people just misinformed and I think some are purposely spreading this dribble in hopes people stay home....
