  1. Yep, sure would put a damper on things. Definitely need to be extra attentive in hopes you can react in time. Thankfully many stretches are open on both sides of the trails with good lines of sight. Something to consider that I’m sure some may think or worry about more than others.
  2. Seems to have been an issue the last couple of years......you would think by now all the correct info would be well known by now for the various groups, assuming you are willing and wanting to listen to it of course!
  3. Low ball with an explanation for it....make them read and actually think about first vs. just hitting the delete button... lol
  4. Given what the market has been like, a good idea. You have to assume there will still be many sleds and trailers flooding the market in the fall...likely sleds with trailer packages so all is done in one transaction..
  5. I would say it is time for a new drive in trailer vs a tilt! Good to gear possible issue avoided as it always sucks when you have a mechanical issue on trips - takes the fun right out of it.

Have not used paper maps now in a bit, so have not noticed honestly either. I knew you could zoom in on the ITG to see if it is a road, but some trails are also on roads not maintained in the winter, so unless you knew the area, one would think it was a trail along a road. So thought that a trail on the ITG that is perhaps highlighted in Orange or something would quickly identify a road run......with the ever increasing trails that run along a road, figured it could be more valuable now than ever before.

I wonder if it has it ever been discussed to mark trails that run the roads with a highlight or something on the trail guide to identify as such? Too much extra work to do so with trail changing all the time perhaps.
  8. Good,,,so the 4-stroke one is beefier considering the extra weight to be lifted - well thought out than .
  9. How stout is the factory front bumper on the G4....can you pick up the sled with it? Not concerned about the hitting or collision scenario, more about using it to lift the sled or man handle it around.
  10. Talking about these hard top LinQ bags, what do most do with them, remove them on saddle bag trips when you get to your destination or pack a soft carry bag inside of it with your stuff inside if it and leave the LinQ bag on the sled? I know they are expensive too, so I am guessing walking away overnight is a thought/concern, but I see they offer locks as well.
  11. Great feed back and so very true on the adjustment department.
  12. You sold it...... You have both the 850 Doo and Poo now, how do they compare?
  13. Good point on chain case, could potentially be an issue. Default shock mode being full stiff mode from what I recall seeing, which could make for a rough trip if it happens day 1 or 2 on a 5 day trip. But that is looking at glass half full, all will work out!
  14. I can’t see Doo have an issue with much, TBH. 900 been pushing same power numbers through other channels for a few years, so should be good. New shocks and trans brake features could possibly be an issue being first year, but we’ll see.
  15. They all have issues, just a matter of taking turn who is next and how big the issue is. Perfect world all manufacturers are running on all eight cylinders, good for the consumer (us). Hoping all changes are good and Cat comes with something really good for 2023..... or perhaps an early 2022 release.
  16. Uh oh, adding more power down low.....might be some added stress on the Poo warranty program next year
  17. That is always bad......could it possibly be worse than the norm......
  18. Saw a posting on facebook for tall pines that all is good the other day. Agree with Steve F6. Raven parking lot and very minimal road run from there. Plus trails are Green for that area!
  19. Lol.... In fairness isn’t it similar to Doo, boosted at higher elevation to maintain the power at altitude? So not really adding excess power, just keeping the usable power available at any elevation.
  20. Perfect....that is how I read things.
  21. I did not go with the quick adjust on my sled. From what I understand, the Pilot X is non carbide adjust and the Pilot TX is the carbide adjust option. I will likely rebuild by shocks and I understand the quick adjust for the skid causes skid removal to be more of a PITA. Plus I have never had it before on either the ski or skid and honestly never had issues. Once I set up my sleds, I do not change much, I just adjust my riding style based on trails conditions from morning to afternoon when the trail conditions change. Also sounds like most with the Pilot X move stock carbide to the outside and add their carbide of choice to the center.....which if that is true, will be something I will do no doubt. I assume I will need to make adjustment on the torsion spring when I have one of my kids in tow with me, but I will do that in garage when sled is all thawed out before I go riding again with them and skid is full of snow.
  22. Agree 100%....last thing you change. My last sled needed it done, but it was the last thing to adjust before she was dialed in.
  23. I have always managed to get my sleds to where I needed them to be and within my comfort level, all using your standard type of carbide, so not on my radar for now.....maybe something to consider though if I get to that point on a new ride.
