  1. Perhaps they thought nail polish removal was a good idea......
  2. I recall using my wife's heat gun once years ago and it worked very well......not sure why I did not use it again, maybe I am not sure where it is now or the wife gave me $hit for using her tools.....
  3. Odd, WD-40 works very well here. Most recent sled, was always side panel or hood that I used it on. A couples sleds ago, it was on the windshield, no issues again......but I stopped placing anything on the windshield as well. Goo Gone works, I just found it required more effort to remove residue whereas with WD-40, it was easier.
  4. WD-40 I think works better than goo gone. Soak a shop rag with it, place it on the permit or sticker, let it sit a bit, then start removing sticker, rinse and repeat.....
  5. No new sled comment - go away with your comments..........lol And do not spread the fear, go out and spend some money, it is good for all.....plus you are getting all the money back, and then some, when you file your taxes.....
  6. x3 on this and what my thoughts were too. I think you are on to something....lets base your premium on your life choices like the ins companies do..... I did not know this but found out recently that I am a "preferred plus" client (or something along those lines) based on life ins rate/health check.....apparently I fall into a very small category, or so I am told. Always knew I was "special".....lol.
  7. Rene X does not come with the 900T - 130 option. Big boy (and I will add girl) pants only......
  8. Not to de-rail the thread.....but it is funny how people will chose to forget what they were for that will result in what will be coming. Now back on topic, so for you a new sled in 2-3 years as I read the above ...., maybe a 4-stroke for the soon to be big norther miles of smiles trips...... lol
  9. 2022 Rene-X 900T-R Black Standard gauge Ice Ripper 1.5" Track No Quick Adjust Pilot X Skis Also plan on getting: LinQ 1+ 1 seat system Glovebox extension with cell phone holder USB Power outlet kit I will need some type of luggage bag - going to look into the new Kimpex storage vs. the LinQ storage I might also look into doing something different about the colour scheme as well - we will see
  10. Potentially just looking for a hassle with them there......but more importantly, the trail pass is front and center!
  11. Yep, they are all gone / restricted I think a MOD on here did it though......
  12. LOL.....I was asking UsedtoSkidoo! I quoted you/ your picture for ref purposes only. I, and I am sure many others, have a pretty good idea where you ride
  13. Have you rode in QC or North of Sud's, I assume you must have, but I am asking as there is more than big flat trails that I am sure you would have encountered. There is a lot of flatter trails, but there is also plenty of rolling trails with bends & curves as well trails that run in and out of the bush. The picture above could easily be mistaken for a trail in the Southern parts through the bush.....personally kind of reminds me of D101B just south of 76. Not so much tight twisty narrow trails like in dist 7 & surrounding areas, but even dist 7 has some wider trails that were logged that are similar to the North, but just for shorter periods. The second part that goes hand in hand with the Northern On or QC is the trip aspect, on your sled for 5 to 7 days with people you mostly enjoy spending time with....I say mostly as I know sometimes people can get funny on trips...... ....but usually makes for some good laughs later on. Like mentioned, it is really nice, for me at least, to ride some of the local'ish trails with the pluses that it brings, and some of the negatives too, as well the trails & atmosphere Northern ON & QC offers!
  14. I would imagine if HO received many complaints for one hotel/motel about the same issue, it would likely get some more traction......will it change anything, not sure as I am guessing the number of places they have in "sledding regions" is not that high.
  15. Or perhaps move to where you can, if needed.....
  16. Oh, I was not trying to argue your point at all, very much on the same page. Some have different priorities and to think of trailering to ride, is just not one of them!
  17. Now that depends on where your priorities may be........ LOL....I was thinking the same thing. I will admit, I have way less desire to drive to ride like I once had, especially for single day rides, but when you are going for a multi day trip, it really means very little how far the drive is compared to the ride.
  18. Blame COVID-19.....its just the right thing to do and the go too now for so many, the list just keeps growing...... (yes I know another political snide remark in a "sledding" topic....) Too bad for all involved, hopefully they will see the error of their ways, but there is always establishment B just down the road
  19. Than I am guessing since the mild spell rolled through last week, many folks headed further West and they ended up with more rigs parked than usually, and up went the sign - which would appear short sighted, but again, perhaps a talk with the operator might have put a different spin on or left a bad taste in your mouth and make you think twice next time. I know many years ago when I was frequently traveling Northern ON for work, most of these places had a good mixture of sledders & folks working like me in the winter, take one of those groups away and I can see how it would have a negative effect on the business. But such is life, I guess that is why having a choice can be such a good thing.
  20. Has anyone had a face to face discussion with the owner or operator to confirm they are following this policy to the T? I am not familiar with them, but I would think this might be a blanket statement to discourage all from doing this, assuming they might be tight for parking space......and those that came in to ask about this policy, that did spend a night, spend some money, etc....were welcome to leave their rigs there. I know few instances we a have encountered this on trips, all of the circumstances we were okay to leave our truck & trailer, but we either spent a night there or purchased some food/drinks as well. If there is no wiggle room on the policy, I would expect they will loose some business in the winter months......which might be there busiest time of the year!
  21. Yep, sure would put a damper on things. Definitely need to be extra attentive in hopes you can react in time. Thankfully many stretches are open on both sides of the trails with good lines of sight. Something to consider that I’m sure some may think or worry about more than others.
  22. Seems to have been an issue the last couple of years......you would think by now all the correct info would be well known by now for the various groups, assuming you are willing and wanting to listen to it of course!
  23. Low ball with an explanation for it....make them read and actually think about first vs. just hitting the delete button... lol
  24. Given what the market has been like, a good idea. You have to assume there will still be many sleds and trailers flooding the market in the fall...likely sleds with trailer packages so all is done in one transaction..
  25. I would say it is time for a new drive in trailer vs a tilt! Good to gear possible issue avoided as it always sucks when you have a mechanical issue on trips - takes the fun right out of it.
