I ended up buying the ones at Princess Auto. Had to drive a bit as Brantford store had 3 and Hamilton had 2. Next nears store was Owen Sound with 1.

I rode that stretch with my 11 yr old son back in 2005. Left from Dunlop Lake Lodge, up to Black Creek Outfitters then rode the hydro line down to Wakomata Lake and got fuel at Tunnel Lake Trading Post. We jumped on the OFSC trail back to Elliot Lake. It was a long day. Back then the OFSC signs were still in place along the hydro line even though it was no longer an official trail. It was late March and it had been well travelled. There are very nice views from the tops of some of those peaks and I took plenty of pictures. Now I'm wondering where they all went.

I've had aluminums on my trailer for about 10 years now. They look ok, the coating on them has mostly peeled off and there is corrosion around the outside of the rim. The chrome center caps are completely rotten. Surprisingly, I've never had a tire leak at the bead but then the trailer only moves a couple of times a year. The aluminum wheels on my vehicles seem to have bead leaks on a regular basis. I'm currently thinking about replacing all 4 wheels and tires at this point, concidering the age and the fact that the sidewalls have some cracking. They owe me nothing and I can throw them on my work trailer which will burn them off in a summer. I will likely replace with aluminums again as I don't like the looks of the galvanized. Would be nice to find some stainless center caps.

Seems like a great sled for that beginner market but they missed the price by $3-4K. I hope Cat wasn't thinking this sled was going to save them from extinction.

To the bold, No. If you have your truck registered for 2990 kg and they put your truck on a scale and it doesn't exceed 2990 kg then there is no over weight. With trailer or without makes no difference. The trailer weight doesn't count against the trucks registered weight until it exceeds 2800 kg. Your example of an F150 pulling a trailer with a gvwr of 6000 lbs is the perfect scenario. You require a yellow sticker for both but there is no need to register the truck for any more than the truck will ever weigh loaded since the trailer should never exceed 2800 kg.

As much as I am will to take her side in this, where is the other side to this story? What made the cops track her down at her sister's house for this breathalyzer? Did she run a red light? Was she seen weaving on the road? Did someone call in a complaint? (this I feel is most likely what happened. She likely left somewhere's else impaired and those people called the cops).

Wow, Slomo you are one .....uh...... thorough dude. I've had an aluminum enclosed trailer for 10 years now and I don't think I've ever looked underneath it......lol I was thinking maybe I should change out the tires this fall since I've only ever changed one due to a blow out. That was 6-7 years ago.

How exactly will they draw the line between what is "personal use" and what is "commercial"? Personally, I'd like to see the RV exemption done away with. Any trailer capable of carrying 3000 lbs should require an annual safety, along with its tow vehicle. I've never understood the RV exemption considering most don't move more than 2 weeks out of the year. My snowmobile trailer has brake issues at least every other year because it sits so much of the time.

Ya, I'm sure anyone who has been waiting for local snow has given up and headed north for next weekend. 4 years with limited riding sucks.

Someone went around the gate at Schweitzer St in Bridgeport and headed out across the trail in the field. I understand that people get tired of waiting for trails to open but geesus, there is no snow out there other than what the wind drifted to the corners and fence lines. I was in the clubhouse when he passed by there. Seams like a waste of time to me with the coming weather and most people think if the groomer is on the trail then they can be too. Damned if you, damned if you don't.

I haven't seen a ride check in years but I've changed as I've gotten older. I no longer sit in the bars until 1am. I drink at home.

Odot addressed this on FS and this was his answer. There were some major incidents where the driver made it home and did the whole "I got drunk at home AFTER I ran over that little girl". Police would need a warrant in most cases to get in. This law removes that process (for now as it will be challenged). But as I said, the reality is...nothing will really change on how we do things unless you're that less than 1% that gets involved in this.

Why anyone would want to listen to an obnoxiously loud exhaust all day is beyond me. There are plenty of Quiet mufflers now available that are hardly distinguishable from stock but those don't seem to be the choice. I was standing at the counter of Royal a couple of weeks ago and the guy beside me asks for a muffler for a '13 800 Etec." I want the MBRP because I hear its louder " he says.... Oh boy....lol
