  1. In the last 2 years my industry (swimming pools) has seen a 100% increase in cost on all steel products, 75% on plastic and fiberglass products, 50% on Stainless Steel, 20% on manufactured equipment (pumps, filters, heaters), etc. Most people I talk to are seeing the same in other industries. I can't see how the manu's can get by on anything less than 10%. Shipping costs, limited factory output, high demand, etc. I just had this conversation on Saturday. I was planning to order a new sled in 2 years but now I'm thinking of picking up one of these late delivery sleds (if I get the opportunity) just so I have it and I get it for a ton less than I'm going to have to pay in 2 years while used sled prices are still sky high. I can't be the only one thinking this way.
  2. I'm expecting that these Mach Z's that may become available will sell for MSRP, even in March/April. MSRP for 2023 is likely to be 12-15% higher and limited orders will be taken on sleds with no guarantied delivery dates. Full Covid pricing will continue.
  3. Great news. I honestly thought it would never happen. But now that it has, where is Fergus, Elora, Belwood on there GRCA trails?
  4. Wing Night next Friday. Take out only. No waiting outside though. Ordering and waiting for your order will be inside the clubhouse.
  5. Better this year. Both Wing nights have been around 200 orders. Down from our "normal" wing nights by about 25% but much better than last year. It was a bit of a challenge getting wings though (had to go to 2 different suppliers to get enough) and I think the wings were just a bit smaller than what we are used to seeing.
  6. This will be the last season for the clubhouse. The new owner has plans for the property in the spring.
  7. No idea. No sound on my computer. I went internet surfing until it ended.
  8. I guess that's what it is. Its just a ball top type tether with no chip. They said they would notify once DESS was available.
  9. Yes, and they forgot about all the accessories when they called to book the appointment for pick up. They called back 2 days later and said they had all the parts in stock and they have them installed.
  10. And it’s home. Only missing part is the DESS.
  11. Back to regular studs. Better ones this time and a better install. My back has been good, thanks. Hopefully I can find some help with plowing so I can get away for a couple extended trips. If not, I'm giving up plowing in 2 years anyways. My Cat is stock just like all the other turbo sleds out there........ I've used studs for 20 years now. This is the first issue I've had. I like my studs. Don't bring up the mice, you'll jinx it. The pest guy was here last week and he said the bait stations were cleaned out. Enough bait to feed 80 mice. Only the Cat in the shed this summer so if there's damage its all mine.
  12. She says she's riding. She sold her place in Florida so she's stuck in Ontario for the winter. Yep, still on the Cat. A couple more years before I relegate it to back up sled. Cat's have issues?.....lol I have some work to do before riding. I got the heat exchanger welded up but never got coolant back in it. That and I have to replace all my studs. Got a new air filter delivered some time over the summer too.
  13. Going to stud it. No, just the N/A 900.
  14. Got the call to pick up the wife sled for sometime next week.
  15. Yep, we are going to try take out for this first one and see how it goes.
  16. Thanks but no, its way too deep. and mine has a quick coupler system. Needs to look like this. I've called around. Probably can't be sourced from a Canadian manufacture. It was AMI who told me minimum 32 weeks and most of the local equipment dealers order from them. Its a common coupler in the US, not in Canada. I found a dealer in Stouville who deals with TAG in Tennessee, waiting for a call back from them on price and availability.
  17. I'm looking for a ditching bucket for my mini-excavator. Was quoted 32 weeks for delivery......lol
  18. If I was buying this year, it would be between the SRX and a Gade X Turbo R. But I'm good with what I have for now. Probably not looking for a new one for 2 years. Maybe Covid will be done by then and I can pick up a low mile used SRX since I like the classic colours of this years. Maybe they will do black/Gold or Black/Red for the next one. That would be even better.
  19. All good. Thanks for recommending Lockhart's. I completely understand why dealers are currently looking for full MSRP plus. They are going to sell everything they can get and most years they have to fight to make a buck. But I appreciate a dealer who maintains their same pricing practices when the potential is there to take advantage of a situation.
  20. Took a drive to Lockhart's today. 2022 Renegade Adrenaline in Black, Heated seat, Mid height windshield with mirrors, tunnel protectors and a heated shield plug. Wife should be happy once there are some pink stripes on it. Delivery by September they say. I was there for all of 10 minutes.
  21. They changed the ad. Now says "or will go lower, will deliver". I sent a message asking a couple questions. See what happens. When people lowball me I delete the message and block them.....lol
  22. Starting to see sleds sit on Kijiji now. Some are lowering their pricing but some are hanging on for the big pay out. Found the exact sled I need for the wife but this person is asking $2500 more for there used sled than it will cost me to order new. And no accessories to go with it. I need them to take $4000 less than their asking price to make it attractive. Do you send that lowball offer and hope for the best ?
  23. Great idea. Showing that real people own these properties, not some faceless corporation. Hopefully, this can lead to more respect. I'm on Facebook daily and never seen it though. They need to reach more sledders.
