  1. Today. Calling for 4-6 fresh for this week too. Ski
  2. We rode the trails the day before, and Luc, and @Canuck, were riding them that day, to pull stakes on the Magpie. Ski
  3. Told you it was going to get ugly fast. Lost it all in 7 days. Ski
  4. That was fast. 2 feet on river, lake ice, Gone, since Saturday. Ski
  5. we saw an adventure bike riding down 17 in Wawa, on the way home sunday afternoon. Ski
  6. Probably the last great looking pic update. Tomorrow starts the big warm up, and long term forecasts show the big change to spring, summer weather and temp patterns. There will be a drastic change in the pics, in just a few days. Get at it, if, and while you can. Ski
  7. https://www.theweathernetwork.com/ca/weather/ontario/cochrane This weekend will be it. highs of plus 10 or more, and lows above freezing. towns are going to suck, water crossings will be wet, culverts, and washouts will open, and open sunny areas will be bare, very quickly. Ski
  8. The writing is on the wall. Forecast has +10-12 daytime highs, with at or above nighttime lows. Luc, and Norm have been grooming, and we are getting fresh on top but, it isnt enough to stop the sun. Usually I dont worry too much about high temps this time of year, due to night temps arresting the melt. But, once the night lows dont slow the melt, it goes pretty fast. Get at it, while (if) you can. Ski
  9. day time highs and full sun will hurt no doubt but, night time temps below freezing will help. there will be riding up there until at least the 16th, or longer, if more snow falls. just spring riding, with a bit of water, dirt, and bare towns. might have to trailer out past the worse spots. it is going last to be able to fish a few days before the walleye closure on the 14th, by us. Ski
  10. wet snow, and warm temps, will do more damage than good on the trails. gotta wait for temps to cooperate, to do any good. Ski
  11. nice! glad to see you stop in and post BP. Miss your input, on the site. Ski
  12. Another decent snow event rolling through the UP of Michigan, and Soo area, heading east. get it while you can. on my way up... I may stay through the week after easter. time to explore, and fish. Ski
  13. none at all. the house is heated to 55, from the time the night time lows are below 32*. the house is kept at a pretty consistent temp year round. house has vinyl siding, decent windows, and new roofs. so, it is pretty weather tight. Ski
  14. Sunny, warm, bluebird day. Snow is settling, and melting again. A little fresh in the forecast but, just enough to keep things white. Ski
  15. Highlander better tower than the Tacoma? Ski
  16. First tracks to Dog lake, on the pole line. It was deep!!! Ski
  17. 2 feet plus here since Thursday afternoon... still snowing, and high winds. Pushed snow over front bumper from dub to hawk yesterday. Less snow in hawk, and wawa than us. We got HAMMERED! Managed to get the barn cams running again. Sorry for the slow update... didn't think anyone looked at this. LoL! Ski
  18. like fishing, hunting, drivers licenses... license the rider, permit the rider. done deal. Ski
  19. made it up to Dub. town streets are bare in dub and wawa. just waiting out the storm now. sunny and 38 most of the way up, from soo on. @AC+YA we may be here sunday night. sunday looks like the best day to ride, so I am pushing to stay and ride that day... may go to Hornepayne for lunch. we will just have to leave at the crack of dawn on monday to get the mrs to her flight in Detroit, monday afternoon. Ski
  20. Make sure you are watching the weather, calling for 18" in 36 hours, starting tomorrow. I would bet, if you aren't in wawa by midnight Thursday, you aren't getting there until late Saturday or Sunday. Understand that storm is going to make fuel mileage on sleds suffer. Not to mention poor or no visibility of the established trails... Be smart, be safe. On our way up now, to beat the mess. Ski
