Just check the ferry crossing times and give it some thought.  Time of day it's coming and going can really mess up a day of your trip.  Also make sure you hit a day it is going to Baie Comeau.  If you're starting in Quebec City the shuttle isn't really an issue.  Just Uber or cab across the river and then drive your vehicle back to where your sleds finished the trip.

We headed out from Matagami this am in -24c temps.       We stopped at a warm up cabin part way up and hung out for a bit.      Got gas and snacks in Matagami and started to work our way south.     As an FYI, the hotel in Matagami looks to be almost completed.     After a lunch at a warm up shack(s) we headed south to Amos.   Fun fact.    An 850 E-tec and a 900R run out of gas within a couple of feet of each other.    Luckily I made it to the gas station and knew there was a problem when the other guys didn’t show up.    I ended up BUYING a gas can and taking 10L to both of my buddies.       We made it to Amos and our rooms at the Amosphere.    The hotel part is still good but the restaurant has gone downhill in the last couple of years.    

Okay - opened a few years ago I think, maybe longer, times goes by so fast.  never been myself, seen it many times and MTH / Kawagama TV used to mention it and other restaurants to show and ask for support of the local businesses.

Pizza joint closer to highway 35? Trading Bay hasn’t been open for a while now if I’m not mistaken…to bad since it used to always be packed.
