Arctic Cat followed the big store model and push huge inventories on little dealers.  They wanted big showrooms and lots of accessories   Local dealer at cottage was dropped because of space for retail.   And he couldn’t take the volume of sleds they wanted to push.   Unfortunately I think the small dealer is way that industry needs to go for service coverage in some areas.

2020 into 2021 was a good winter though. I did almost 2000 kms barely used trailer. Since then I don't think I have been over 400 kms a year 🤣. 

Bottom line is not allot of artic cat dealers around any more either. My local mechanic use to carry artic cat snowmobiles and atv's. He quit in late 90's. Remember arnies cat house and how many sleds he would sell and move.  If weather keeps up we have none in a decade 😳. 

Someone will buy Arctic Cat.     My guess is that CF Moto or White River Marine aka Bass Pro will buy it.      CF Moto needs the NA production facilities to gain credibility instead of being another Chinese OE.       Bass pro is already one of Cats biggest customers.    Johnny Morris is a billionaire.   He can cut a cheque for Cat and not even flinch.

They ran Polaris into ground too. Cf moto might see some value in it but production will go to Mexico no doubt. I don't think these plants will run again. They just be a future distribution centre I think.
