I hate to sound like a certain person in this group but I get the feeling that sledding around Stratford/Mitchell area is coming to an end for the season. Its not that warm here today but the snow is melting fast and there in no precip other than rain in the 14 day. Wed could be the nail in the coffin if we get rain vs snow.
Looks like its Northern Ontario/Quebec for the next month to wrap up the season.
In Ontario they definitely do not pick up sleds. Quebec is hit or miss. This time it was a miss when we called with a sled that needed a pick up. We called back with my card and and said we had a small trailer that had a wheel bearing out of it and needed a flat bed. The driver asked where the trailer was and we pointed to the sled. By that time he already had a PO to pick up a trailer and he didnt really care what he was hauling. He would not take my buddy to RDL even though CAA RV will give you 1 400km tow per year. He said he didnt have time but would take him to Amqui no problem. Dropped him off at Enterprise and carried on his way.
Agreed, the ones you can buy are way too much, he used the grab bar on the viper last year, it wasn’t the best but it worked and was free. I’ll post the details over in the technical forum for the grips.
We spent the morning getting in some more winter fun. I brought home my sons 120 yesterday, too much snow on our property and not enough on the road. He was able to ride around his school yard this morning. He had fun riding over snow mounds left by the plow.
