Pigeon Couple

Good day folks....my wife and I are getting into sledding this year.....

We have a lake front cottage on Pigeon lake just south of the sand bar.

Were wondering if its worth joining a local club and if lake running on Pigeon lake has any boundary makers or sled maps we can research ...

Ideally we will probably not venture far until we know the area or get some solid info...

Welcome to the forum Couple... Below is a link to a local club in your area. The very best way to get into the sport and riding area is by joining a snowmobile club. You'll meet people to ride with that know the area and you will love riding in your area.

Here's the Twin Mountains Snowmobile Club - Bobcaygeon Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/people/Twin-Mountains-Snowmobile-Club-Bobcaygeon-Ontario/100057320445509/

and their website is https://www.district2ofsc.ca/member-clubs/twin-mountains/

Happy Trails and I hope you enjoy the forum.

If you use Facebook you can follow the local clubs for info on upcoming events, trails work parties, etc. I live in Lindsay and a member of Heart of Ontario club out of Cannington area.

Welcome to the forum Pigeon couple. Lots of good info. and fun around here. Your cottage must be close to Happy Days by your description. Beautiful area summer and winter.

Below is a link to the OFSC on line trail maps. Its an easy way to find out what trails are open or closed in the province. I find its easier to learn how it works on a laptop but there is also phone app that works well when you are out sleddin. Don't be afraid to ask forum members if you need any info.
