revrnd
The section of C101D east of Chapleau that Nunz mentioned about being plowed is now snow covered. Be aware that vehicles are using it the entire length.

He said the sign there shows 55k to Foleyet. I told him there would be a pack of blizzards coming that way. I figured Chapleau was your night stop given the time he saw you. Last time I stayed there you could ride to Missanabie. Edited February 19, 2019 by DOOBEE
revrnd
322 klicks to D'ville from Chapleau. A frosty -32* this morning. -8* here. C101D from Chapleau to TOP D groomed. South of Wawa, TOP D was only groomed from town to #5. North of town, TOP D was groomed all the way to 'Lucville'. Be aware that there is an ice flow acrosd the trail about 4 klicks south of the ACR crossing in D'ville.
revrnd
A note from yesterday's trek from Timmins to Chapleau. West of where the Foleyet & Chapleau clubs meet there is a bridge that has deep 'gap' between the tread boards.

Looking good. Trails look amazing. We saw a big moose while we were out on Sunday morning. Also have a pack of wolves around!! They killed a deer on the lake Sunday night. Gotta keep the dog close when he goes out at night now.

Im sure there was some road work done east of D'ville (north & south of the TOP F intersection). It looks wider & a lot smoother since I was last thru there in '12. revrnd
We arrived in Hearst around 4 PM. 296 klicks for the day. Sunny most of the way. Be careful there is a big washout on D108A south of the Kabi River warm up shack. Club has a detour around via an ice bridge. At the Companion 21 sleds in the shed when we parked and more arrived later. We met sleds north of Hornepayne in the afternoon (quite a few gassing up there). We followed 3 sleds from Hornepayne, played leapfrog w/ a couple more & had a father & son follow us from D'ville.

Fresh snow overnight. Running L123 this morning & we were the 1st sledders thru from the Hardy Loop to the Kap River. Quite a few sleds in both directions. Fuel & lunch in Moonbeam. There is basically 2 two foot wide tread sections with what looked like nothing between them. I expected the usual 4 inch drop to the center boards, but there was nothing there. Scary when you have slowed down and find that half the sled is about to be over a huge hole. I hit the throttle and bounced off the far side pretty crooked, but OK. Could have been nasty.
