Baylaker
Started at mattawa adventure camp on Friday morning and had a blast on top A trail heading into stone cliffe. Saturday was decent, some trails were mint, D trail heading south out of astorville was beyond screwed, wasn’t too happy about riding on a railbed with just enough snow to keep the sleds cool. Probably need a new set of carbides after that stretch. It was listed as yellow on the map. I sent bonfield club a message on Facebook letting them know it needs to be closed! Good weekend overall, did around 475-500kms between the 2 days riding 2up....I could barely move thismorning...my knees were shot and I could barely stand up to get off the sled at the end of the day. One day is fine, but 2 is definitely out of the question from now on. Picking up a 2002 viper for the girlfriend shortly. Here’s some pictures of Friday’s run... stoney
Hard to tell in gear, but you donot look all that old.....must have not been kind to your body in your younger days.... Which I can sadly relate too.....
stoney
oh ya, maybe that 850 would not have been so hard on the old joints.....:)
Baylaker
34 in August, we rode 2up on the 850 with a proper 2up seat where I wasn’t squished up to the bars lol. Just enough room on the stock seat for both of us on the viper. Can’t wait to ride it solo again! Girlfriend loves sledding as much as I do so I can’t leave her at home. Lol Ah, 2 adults on a sled intended for single rider is not much fun.....you are limited to a single seating position usually & not able to adjust all that much. I assume you are keeping yours eye open for a second sled....should be some nice fire sales just about now, or in the near future.....

Lol Thanks for pics! - was there 2 years ago - very good area. Good view of the river from the camp. I have a different dilemna with the riding two up situation - have to tell wife that our combined weight now exceeds the manufacturer's specification for the machine - if I say it's my fault, I'm on a diet. If I say it's her fault............can't win either way. Luckily she isn't on the sled all that much....(yes I have the optional heavier springs installed)

stoney
Is that for the wife to ride? If so, are the SRX's supposed to be a good trail sled, I always thought they were more of a performance sled that worked great on the lake or smooth trails? Baylaker
Yeah it’s for the gf, it’s a 700 viper sxv er. The srx is a groomed trail sled. The viper has better suspension though. This should get her by for a couple years.
