Stopped at Canada Computer in Waterloo and bought a new computer, and slurped syrup all the way home! ( or something like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) We were looking for actual tree tapping, boiling, etc. I called - trees did in fact stop producing some time ago. Glad Elmira worked out for some of you. SlowTouringGuy Posted April 4, 2012 Share Posted April 4, 2012 Some, around here, are tapping again this week due to the minus degree nights and high single/low double digit days but the "veterans" are saying it is a waste of time - the buds have appeared and the best sap will be going to nourish the new growth; whatever is tapped and boiled now will not have a good colour or, importantly, a good taste.
