  1. What would be the Basecamp's profit margin, per litre of gasoline sold?
  2. 😄 You're welcome to it! They brought it in with deflectors etc for my xrs, but I decided to transfer my used stuff from the 2020...... ....which I'll be selling without a windshield.
  3. There was at least one med-high adjustable windshield in stock at Northland Recreation yesterday morning.
  4. Thank you, stoney. I quit buying 800's about three or four years ago because of concerns about engine longevity. I believe I've had three 1200's since then. Nice motors. Last year I tried a 20 MXZX 850, while also having a pair of 1200's. I ended up putting more miles on the 850 than the 1200's combined.....might have been the Gen 4 chassis, might have been the two stroke.....but the 850 seemed to be a little more fun, especially when riding with others. A little easier to keep up in the tight Muskoka trails. I used the four strokes more for solo riding, or when riding two up. I have kept an 18 Enduro 1200 for four stroke cruising, but I'm really looking forward to running the 850, especially when the Smart Shox become enabled. By the looks of the slow start weatherwise, I'll be putting on fewer kms this season, and might get two years out of the new 850 before having to get rid of it.
  5. My 2022 Renegade XRS 850 is sitting at the dealer, ready for pick up. Apparently the smart shoxx are fully functional. The only unfinished item is the DESS tether. Now to find the nearest snow.
  6. I respect unavailable trails. No sugar coating here.
  7. Without commenting on anybody's specific trail riding choices, and while acknowledging that many kilometres of northern trails do utilize private property, one can generally say there's a lot more crown land between Cochrane and Hearst than there is in the more southern parts of the province. The Ontario Crown Lands Atlas shows private property in grey.
  8. The trails have enough snow right now, given the light traffic. No signs of dirt. I'd say the yellow trails have been groomed once. They're not mint or particularly smooth, but no problem moving along at reasonable speed. I heard a rumour about the trails closing for a day on Thursday, which might be wise during the nasty warmup and rain. I'll likely ride tomorrow morning then head home. I heard the Frederickhouse River has between 8 and 14 inches of ice, thanks to volunteer flooding efforts. After Thursday it's supposed to return to winter weather.....but nothing will prevent the thrashing of heavy traffic after Christmas.
  9. You are right. Ended up riding along some roads and streets to mix it up a bit and see some people. Saw about six sleds in four hours.
  10. Enough to make a fellow head to Cochrane.
  11. LMV, welcome to the Snowcrest FB page !
  12. It's an excellent riding area, Muskoka Bill !
  13. Orillia yesterday. Getting gasoline in Coldwater.
  14. I agree, Turbo Doo. When Kenny says "watch the ITG" he means it.
  15. I got out for an hour or two while the snow is still here.
  16. Trail 416 is a useful shortcut between Trail C and Trail B. Runs between Elmvale and Hillsdale, across farm fields and through the Simcoe County Forest. Sometimes The C is unavoidably rough due to heavy traffic. Solution: take the 416. Here's a link to the gofundme page: https://gofund.me/bb5a8dba
  17. Sad, ain't it? Not enough snow. Ran around the back yard and out on the street on November 19. Added up to one km.
  18. Congratulations Stoney. That's a nice looking ride ! Just curious as to whether it came equipped with Smart Shox...or did you bother with that option?
  19. I like the Happy Wanderers' warm up shack "The Irishman's Resting Place" on B Trail. Have stopped there a few times to crack open a thermos of hot chocolate or coffee.
