  1. By looking at the long range in SW Ontario, there will be no trails open until Feb at the earliest. I was out picking up dog crap yesterday on my lawn yesterday. I am supposed to be away from Jan 21-28 and I honestly dont know where we will be going (if anywhere?)
  2. I have bought a couple of boat trailers from them. They seemed fine but I had very easy transactions that were pretty hard to screw up.
  3. My girls went to work Friday night at 7pm and finally got home this am. 1x24hr shift and 2x12hr shifts. Stayed 2 "days" at hotels to get some sleep and shower.
  4. Been snowing like a MOFO since Friday afternoon. I still can barely see the house across the street from me. I had a 4ft drift at the end of my driveway to dig through this am. All highways are still closed in Perth County and arent expected to open up until Sunday am. Both my daughters are RNs at Stratford General and they both did a 24hr shift yesterday and are going in for another 12hrs tonight at 7pm. They cant get out of town to come home so they got a room at a local hotel so they could have a shower and get some sleep before heading back in tonight.
  5. The Prostarr is too low IMO for anything other than sleds. I have a TC167 and it appears to be built very well. No issues or concerns with it.
  6. And they are all too much money IMO. I paid $13K + tax for my 23 TC167 with walls and ski guide kits. The really crappy thing is that I paid $10K for my 22 identical trailer that was stolen.
  7. Here are 2 available locally. https://www.kijiji.ca/b-ontario/2023-thundercat/k0l9004?rb=true&dc=true
  8. Used sled and trucks are dropping as fast as house prices right now. I just sold 2 really nice used sleds in the last couple of weeks that were priced very fairly. Lowest kms and lowest price of anything comparable. Only had 1 serious person inquire about both. Didnt even get the kijidiots or lowball offers that I was expecting. There are a surpising amount of new sleds sitting around right now. My dealer has had close to 15% of their Spring Breaks cancel/walk away from their deal. That number is normally 10%. They have been re-selling them but not as fast as they expected. They are expecting Spring Break to be down at least 30% from the last couple of years. Only guy I know who is busy still is my Toyota dealer. He said that Toyota is still having supply issues and has cut his MY23 allotment down from MY22. He doesnt have an unsold car coming in the next 5 months.
  9. I agree somewhat. I own a TC167 that I use exclusively for sleds. I carry my machines in it over the winter AND use it for sled storage in the summer. Its probably not the trailer I would own if I needed to use it year round to carry ATVs, bikes in the summer and sleds in the winter. If I needed a year round use trailer I would probably go to a more traditional cargo type trailer.
  10. The Weberlane inline trailer looks like a good value. I got a killer deal on my TC167 but I would have taken a long hard look at the Weberlane otherwise.
  11. No? I do lift the rear end of the 1st sled over to wall side of the trailer though.
  12. I own a TC167. Great trailer. I like the fact that I can see behind me without towing mirrors on my truck. I wouldnt bother with brakes as I pull with an F150.
  13. Not much snow anywhere yet. This was just taken.
  14. Agreed on the east side being way nicer. We generally do the full loop and then head south towards Timmins (when the C trail is open) and then over to Cochrane. That makes for a full day and a nice ride.
  15. I lived the hockey life for several years. The $150 for the room is the cheap part. You need to add going out for dinner with possibly 4 people and breakfast again in the am. And then the parents end up hanging out and mom needs a bottle of wine and dad blows through a 15 pack of Buds. Staying the night ends up costing $400.
  16. The marina in Port Severn where I fill up told me on Labour Day weekend he was down 40% in litres sold YTD from years past. Big Chute being broken several times over the summer didnt help much either.
  17. Funny you should say that. One of our sled gang told me last week that he is not going to be coming with us on any trips this winter. He said IF we get snow, he will ride locally, but he needs to tighten his belt a bit and spending a bunch of money on sled trips is not in the cards this year.
  18. I have been watching the same used sleds sit and sit on Marketplace and Kijiji for a while now. I was talking to my BRP dealer and he said that just about every day someone backs out of their Spring Break deal as well. I think things are only going to get slower in the next few months.
  19. I bumped into the owner of the Base Camp at St Onge tonight. I asked him what the plans were for this season and he said they were opening and walked away, basically blowing me off. Thats ok. I didnt really have much to say to the guy but I thought if someone was asking him about his business the guy might have at least had a bit of idle chit chat. Pretty much just re-affirms that the guy is a goof.
  20. Here is a pic of the lattice in my 6x12 trailer. I cant figure out how to spin the pic so it is right side up?
  21. The stuff I bought at Home Hardware is not slippery at all.
  22. I put lattice in the floor of my 6x12 cargo trailer and it has worked great. I will snap a pic of it and post it.
  23. They did have a post on FB a while back looking for staff. Something about the "manager is not returning this year"? I am sure it will be open in some form.
  24. Better to know this now and make appropriate plans.
