Geez, that’s just depressing.
-
We get our 91 at Costco, usually close to price of regular at regular stations.
-
Never have named any of them personally. An old buddy has a 1997 XC 700 wedge - first year of that new motor - we still call it "white lightning".
-
But I'm paying carbon tax? I don't understand.......
-
Collision is first party coverage only. the only exposure on that coverage is your own.
-
Figured with snow covered lawn here in the Steel City there might be some yellow in the nord. Just checked - all red I think areas are getting close though - i see rinks frozen and being used in northern and northwestern ontario. Can't wait
-
Could be named in litigation as the vehicle owner - pretty common practice when a SOC is issued in MVA's when the driver is not the registered owner.
-
Lot's of things can slip through the cracks on the underwriting side - but get flushed out on the liability side later on...... Your daughter could not be added as a secondary if she does not reside with you and/or is not a student - so that is no surprise In your scenario- I will say there are two things you might want to consider thinking about. 1. Your daughter has no insurable interest in the subject vehicle - probably not an issue since you're family 2. Your wife has no liability coverage under the policy. Let's say you're daughter is 100% liable for an accident - there are serious injuries in the other vehicle - their counsel sues the driver, vehicle owner etc. - your wife is not party to the policy and you most likely will be funding your own defence costs

Minimum earned premiums, earned premiums, and un-earned premiums all come into play. Many insurers have a set minimum earned premium on items that tend to be "seasonal" for a reason.
-
And you would be in the 99% group who rarely look at anything - just the price I have a $1,000.00 deductible. $500.00 is useless and I would never make a claim for anything in or around there - to lose claims free and/or have a claim go against my rating for something so low is ridiculous
-
Without knowing every detail - you simply can't compare - there is quite a bit that will go into rating and cause variance. If it's not apples to apples - then it's a pointless exercise
-
The value is only used for rating purposes, it has no bearing on the payout. The payout under the policy is based on Actual Cash Value. Got my renewal from TD in my hand - no change up or down. Paid

Only hard copy for me. i don’t keep anything other than normal photos on my phone.
-
They don't - simply put. An officer would have to call in - identify himself as such - and the only information that can be shared is "yes - it's valid" or "no - it's not valid "
-
The officer was not being truthful to you then. There is no electronic or data connection between individual licensed insurers in Ontario and the police. The officer would need to contact the insurance company directly to verify if the policy information provided is valid ,and the only information that could be shared with them from the roadside is "yes -the policy number you provided is valid" - or "no, the policy is not valid - it was cancelled on XXXX". That's it.
-
The police are not able to verify the insurance policy you provide them is valid from their car - fyi. They, like everyone else, would need to call it in to the company to be sure.
-
I have a commercial license and they still mail out the reminder for it.

Last time I did it, I used the Insurance Search Bureau
-
Not sure - never sold a car before or bought a used one either. Last sled I sold was in 2013 - which was to a buddy - anything before that was always traded in. The one I bought I ran my own lien search on it. Was curious on all this - so this is good discussion
-
Was curious about others habits - maybe now because we're selling one - but if/when any of you guys are out shopping for used sleds - if you're serious on one - do you guys have lien searches run on them? I bought my Cat used off a kid - it was used one weekend. When we were firm on a deal - I ran a lien search and low and behold - there was one on it through whomever provided the financing for Cat at the time. I had the kid pay it out and provide me a copy of the discharge before I finalised the deal. Am I crazy - or is that the norm? With sled prices now what they are - would it not be risky to not do this? Just curious
-
I was speeding - way over - officer was polite and did me a solid- no need to waste the time and resources - I was guilty and okay to accept what he wrote it up to. From what I see day to day - most do not get "off" they get plead down to a lesser
-
If it were advertised, I missed it. I heard about doing away with stickers, but that was about it. nothing came in the mail, and that’s all I will open and look at. i know it’s ignorant, but i don’t pay much attention to a lot lol

Tag on wife's vehicle says 2021. We have never "logged" into anything related to the MTO, so probably expired. I got stopped in March for speeding - nothing was said? - usual - license/insurance - got my ticket and paid it. Lucky by the sounds of it
