  1. Sold the Skidoo tonight. Already to spring order.
  2. Yes they are but they did finally call me back, I got my order in and picked it up. I've bought parts there 3 times now and it always feels like they are doing me a favor. They had 2 belts in stock for my sled. WTF? And they close at 4pm on a Friday. She's all fixed now. I like to do business with Steve at Unlimited but he must have been busy cause he took the phone off the hook.
  3. Bookended day yesterday. Blew a belt in the first 10 minutes. Followed by 300 kms of flat trails, sunshine and good times. Then the motor shut off 30 minutes from the truck. Oil spewing from every corner of the belly pan. Got it taken apart last night and the oil filter backed off. Drained the motor and tank and only got 3 tablespoons of oil. Hopefully there is no internal damage. Trying to get a new filter and belt right now and no dealers are answering the phones. I love this sport.
  4. Hey PLC, tell you know who there is picture of him peeing on the internet. yes, my backup sled is still being ridden.
  5. We might have passed you at some point. We left from St Clements Clubhouse, through Linwood Listowel to Teviotdale to Fordwich and fueled up in Teeswater. Out to Lucknow, felt like the snow got thinner, definitely less grooming. Down through Blyth, Brussels. Heavy traffic for a Wednesday. Once we got close to Monkton, the trails got better. Flatter and firmer. Doesn't matter much where you go, the bush trails are thin. We just haven't been getting the snowfalls. The fields are good due to the drifting and grooming.
  6. I was up that way today and, honestly, I'd say the trails are better below Brussels. There was a ton of riders in the Brussels to Blyth sections. There were fields that were brown from start to finish.
  7. People are buying virtually anything that hits the market. Clean sleds sell fast regardless of the size. The sled got ridden again today so I'm probably going to gamble on a fall sale. With everyone riding in the south right now and it looks like the season will go at least a couple more weeks, I think sales will still be good. I don't believe you can get a 900 in a 129, at least from what I've seen on Skidoo.com. I'm not buying another 2 stroke. I'm looking at the Grand Sport instead of the LTD. I'd swap the seat to a single electric and store the 2up. NO storage comes with the Sport. You have to buy a trunk if you want one. The need for the Air ride on the LTD is questionably. She would set it to the softest setting and never change it. I think the cheap Motion Controls will be fine. The only thing the LTD or Sport are missing is an Ice Ripper. You can get all these options (electric seat, Air Ride, Ice Ripper, and a small trunk) on an Enduro. Its $2000 more but it may be worth it. I'd be paying $639 for the seat and $400 in studs at least. Only a $1000 more gets me the Air Ride, better from shocks and some trunk space.
  8. Made a decision last week and put the wife's Vector on the market. 2012 RS Vector with 9500 kms. Very Clean, studded up the middle, full service done 500 kms ago (fall of 2019). Sold for my asking price of $6000 in 2 days. When I listed I had 3 offers of $5000 by text the first night. I did see some ads listing for $7000 with more miles but the ads were getting older. I think the price was fair. Now shopping for a new sled for her. Looking like a 2022 Grand Touring Sport with a 900 Ace. Might bump up to an Enduro just to get the Ice Ripper, heated seat and Air ride. I have a dealer quoting me on both. But I have also decided I might as well sell my back up sled. A 2015 MXZ-X 800, super clean with 3900 kms currently. I was planning to keep it and either trade it or sell private in the fall. I'm wondering if I should just sell it now? When talking to the dealer he offered me $5500 and said don't bring it here. We would be asking $9000 if we had your sled. Sell it private. Does anyone think that used sled prices will be down in the fall?
  9. I'm not blind. I just don't care to invest any of my time to look.
  10. Where did I say it was false ? I only said I don't believe there was any cover up. The information is right there for anyone who cares. It was not classified information.
  11. But what are these trails really costing the OFSC annually? And what will be the cost of the lost volunteers. When I look at our local map I see so many trails that used to be there 10 years ago and will never come back. It seems time is taking away our trails fast enough. They don't help from the inside.
  12. No, I don't believe there was any cover up. One document does not convince me that I need to grab my tinfoil hat and run to the basement. I'm not an Alex Jones type.
  13. I don't see where anyone clarified this so I looked it up. She was in Texas flying back on American Air. She went to a doctors office to get a Covid test for her return f;ight. They asked which test she wanted and she said she didn't know. "Just the one so I can get on the plane." So they gave her a antigen test that is approved in America. Canda demands a molecular test. Thus they let her on the plane but not into Canada when she landed. She was tested at the Airport then held for 2 nights in the Westin Hotel until they received the results and an exam was conducted by a Public Health nurse.
  14. Yes. He is just a hack journalist trying to make a name for himself. There is nothing about their visit that alarms me. It was friendly and informative only.
  15. No, I don't. Considering he made a threat towards the Prime Minister, he should be expecting someone to come to his door.
  16. I watched it and there is nothing to this video or the RCMP paying him a visit. He put out a tweet saying he was going to release a classified document that would be damaging to Trudeau so they came to warn him. Turns out there was nothing special about the info he had and he didn't break any law by releasing it.
  17. You've got to think the OPP have better things to do than patrol 1 km sections of needlessly closed trail but it will take the weekend to tell. Easy cash if they do though.
  18. I don't expect to see much here. North and west it looks like. Maybe something here for Monday. I'm happy if District 9 can keep making trails for another 3 weeks.
  19. They are incapable of protecting the high risk. Look at Roberta Place in Barrie. This is a facility full of professionals, trained in sanitation and virus protection protocol, locked down, all knowing, PPE up the wazoo. And they are at 214 residents tested positive, all staff positive with 49 dead in 3 weeks and counting. My step daughter's husband lost his Grandfather there on Saturday. RIP
  20. These trails that "bridge" PHU's should have been a different colour on the map so that there can be a differentiation between real closed trails and Covid closed.
  21. Just looked at that. Need to close more trails I see. lol
  22. My wife is in Florida. If they close the airports then she'll have to stay down there. Hmmmm
