  4. I haven't been up there, but I can tell you the weather up here has been $hit two weekends in a row. Yesterday was -1. Today 0 +1 with mix of wet snow and drizzle. Trails are soft, and believe it or not a lot of swampy areas are NOT frozen. A trail that we were working on yesterday, has 2 holes in it today from water running under the snow. I'm thinking it's yellow because of swamp/ water crossings. On a positive note, weather is supposed to get cold mid week, with snow. So the groomers will be able to have something to work with.

  5. That makes for about 14” this season of total snow fall. Hopefully it doesn’t melt in next few days and club can start to make a base.

  6. Saw 2 moose together on the E107 about halfway between the E trail and Apsley on Thursday afternoon around 4. They were north of where the E107 stays on the east side of Hwy 28 and were east of the trail up on a ridge/hill.

  9. Yes it can be. Up to the Paudash cookout today. Moderate sled traffic, followed a couple on the way back a couple of times. we stopped @ different spots. They were riding along @ the perfect speed, so I made no attempt to pass them Saw a couple of moose scoops on E107 No moose sightings in my travels so far this season. Just one deer on the Crown behind our woodlot. Could've run over a grouse south of LSP on Friday.

  10. Affected many other areas too like d5 and d9 with conversation authority’s in same boat as rail ways. Clubs closed affected trails and put detoured routes in where possible. Sudbury been affected hard too! Been a few pockets in central ontario too as well. Kind of trickled across province. Hopefully it all gets solved soon and we can have access to all these great areas again. Never ends with no respect to land owners. Sucks it was an atver that ruined it for everyone! That is hard on volunteers no doubt.

  12. Finally rode D trail from the house to rail bed, the last section of closed trail for our club. My neighbor and I cut on the way up, met up with another club member, and finally... we were able to cut in front, while the groomer followed us down!!

  13. The OFSC did not change the wording. They did come back and say you (the club and potentially the directors) have been incurring huge risks and potential liability with the agreements you have been signing. If you want to protect yourselves we recommend different liability and indemnity clauses that will limit your exposure to the world of snowmobiling. (Not everybody, all the time). The option to get outside insurance to help offset the exposure was even provided. (Side Note: that insurance is very expensive and is very limited in terms of policy limits). The OFSC can not and will not put its

  14. That's not how I read that. The OFSC started making the clubs aware that their non-standard LUP's put them (the club) at risk. The OFSC insurance policy and coverage hasn't changed. They have a standard worded LUP that the clubs are supposed to use. Saying the OFSC changed something is like being mad your car insurance didn't cover your car when you're insured for casual use but use it for business use instead...
