I could not imagine what my HC premiums would be if my wife didn't have a good job.

Granted she pays $2k a year in premiums to cover her portion of them.

Low income working folks should get government assistance with life saving childrens medicine

They do. My son's chemo and related meds are free.

Thanks for the well wishes, he is doing great. His treatment protocol is over 3 years long, he has a year left. He has received nothing but the best care, and money has never factored into any of the medical decisions which I don't think is possible with private health care unless you have a very expensive plan. I guess my point is I have seen first hand how well our system can work, when all you seem to hear is the horror stories.

glad to hear the care is top notch. I have always been satisfied with the care I have received, sans one time at the hospital by an ER doc that must have been last in his class.

Thanks for the Good News story. Thanks for sharing. Despite all of our problems, we really do live in a great Province / Country. Best wishes to your son's continued recovery.

Truth. There is no place I would rather be than in this great country of ours.

Well if Canada was to add the Turks & Caicos to Confederation, we'd have the best of both worlds.
