    • Anytime we were near the St Lawrence the winds were just a howling - but almost all of that section of our trip ended up being scrapped with that closed section on that one day.....no run from Gaspe to sled den around trail 5. We considered staying for a day more in Gaspe while the issue was dealt with, but decided not too. Only went as far as 133 to village grande nature chic chocs for lunch east of 595. You guys should have headed down 595 and circled back - that is the trail we ran twice as well as 111 over to Murdochville - which was a great trail to do to in both direction anyways, not challenging at all for newer riders, winds were gone with all the mountains around you and great views! Next year will be great - but I can see how this area might not be the best for riders with not much experience.
    • 2 stroke is probably my favorite smell. it will never ever bother me.
    • Great to hear your trip was a success. Our trip ended at day 2 due to high winds and shutdown of trails. We heard 16 riders fighting to get through a section we turned back at near Grande-Vallee. We stayed two nights in Grande-Vallee waiting for winds to die down. We had a newer rider that didn't feel comfortable riding on so we ended trip.  I will try again next year with a different group of more experienced riders.  We went back to River-Du_Loup and rode on some amazing rolling hill trails.
    • As much as I love watching snow storms and seeing snow on the ground, the sound of that rain last night on the roof was quite nice for a change. I'm ready for it all to leave now, I put on about 6500kms or so, so I’ve had my fill.
    • I thought there was a flood warning issued recently.  good thing, if want to call it that, the heavy rain came in bursts vs. constant downpour.
