Canuck
OFSC maps will likely be printed soon, in time for the show in October. Any major changes in your district? (- don't breach confidentiality if maps have not yet gone to printers, etc.) I'm just looking for a shorter route to STG's cottage He keeps saying 'the bridge is out' . (- don't breach confidentiality if maps have not yet gone to printers, etc.) I'm just looking for a shorter route to STG's cottage He keeps saying 'the bridge is out' . Speaking of which. Good news delivered to the Gravenhurst (environs) Snowcrest Riders Snowmobile Club that the Federal Government is donating a (LARGE) chunk of change to fund the bridge replacement on the D trail south of Town. That bridge was lost 2 or 3 years ago and since that time D trail has been running several kilometres of paved Muskoka Road 6. The generous contribution of our Federal Goverment will mean returning to a very scenic secton of D trail and no longer having to dodge wheeled vehicles (none of which had trail permits, I might add). Brushing/Clearing begins next week and construction will be complete in time for sledding season. (When they are held hostage by the Seguin carpetbaggers each year, the OFSC typically caves in and gives all available District 7 money to the robbers who not only build the bridges on the Seguin but also inspect them to determine if any work is needed so we went to the Federal Government instead. I feel much better now that taxpayers in Wabush Labrador are contributing to improved safety of the D trail over Beaver Creek.) :P :P :P

SlowTouringGuy
STG's work party...River Kwai. With apologies to Carl Forman: One day the work party will be over. And I hope that the people that use this bridge in years to come will remember how it was built and who built it. Not a gang of slaves, but snowmobilers, Snowcrest Snowmobiliers, Canuck, even from Housey's Rapids. I'm whistling the Colonel Bogey March as I post this.
