Arrest made after steel wire is found running across snowmobile paths in Durham RegionPosted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Crime, Durham An arrest has been made after snowmobilers in Durham complained of steel wire being strung across local trails. There have been several incidents reported and a number of people became entangled in the wire. A 64-year-old Scugog man has been arrested. he has been entered into a diversion program to ensure he receives the mental health support he needs, while police look for a long term solution. white dragon Posted April 20, 2014 Share Posted April 20, 2014 they are putting chicken wire across the atv trails in the 5 points now , bikers have been getting tangled up in it ,seen this in the haliburton atv website lately , Some people need help for sure ,like being taken out behind the wood pile someone should set up hunting camera if happens in same area again.. RW It is good that an arrest was made,but this is not the incident near Cornwall. This one is actually in Port Perry's trail system and has been ongoing for a few years.
