  1. It is a big problem across whole province. We count on being able to use private land and existing forestry roads etc. I was glad I got to ride area with my dad several times over the years it was available. getting grant money is really hard. Even for the farm I hire consulating company to do my applications. They are successful about 50 percent of the time. They just take a portion of the grant funds if project is approved. Usually 10 to 20 percent, depending on project size. Free money if I can get it, Is way I see it. Must be firms out there willing to do something similar for ofsc and it’s clubs.
  2. Baden area, so north d5 and south d9. Sleds always in trailer so don’t mind driving farther north if weather is ok.
  3. You around mid week usually? I be up for a tourer of your area. Never been far above own sound.always wanted to go, but no one ever commits mid week/ Maybe I can talk too slow into coming too, if he is around.
  4. Bottom line is Quebec has a good system and patrol to back that up. Your chances of riding in Quebec without a permit and not getting caught are slim to none. Here in ontario if we had on trail option that might be suicide with lack of enforcement. Some would just ride and probabily not get caught, whole winter. I am not sure how much mto takes on each permit sold and where money would go. I think currently fine is 65 dollars for trespassing and can go up to 1000 dollars if you don’t comply but buying a trail permit too I believe.
  5. Lobsinger line. The ditch is ok until you get close to town. Then it is close to 600 m scratch. Some residents are mad at snowmobilers so side walk shouldn’t be used to access fuel or hotel. That day we had some fresh snow so side of road was rideable most days it isn’t. Be nice to have a trail going around and back thru hotel property or gas station, depending which way you loop. I know getting permission is difficult so kudo’s to club for getting access to lobsinger line, anyways.
  6. From high way 7 and 8 north had a good season. Snow really picked up around highway 86. Hanouver is a good spot for staging when casino is open. Last year it was closed along with the trail access. I called many resorts that usually allow parking and they all turned me down and blamed covid. Hopefully this winter is different.
  7. That’s hard to get too now. No trail near the place, since st Agatha trail closed. 😂
  8. That surprises me. I use to pull a 5000 ib fibreglass boat 17 foot with a 2007 pilot. No issue there with tongue weight. Trailer had hydraulic surge breaks. Basically same vehicle as an mdx, just no lip stick 👍. Sounds like maybe new ones they ruined them. I had LT tires on pilot too, came standard with them. Don’t think that’s case anymore, either. Pilot, mdx and ridgeline are very similar.
  9. If you want to help buy permits on december 2 and pay full price. After all we can’t take our wealth to the grave yard 👍.
  10. Was above for early permit then they came out with early early price. I think it went as high as 210 or so for early permit. Sales went down so they came out with earlier permit option at 180 plus shipping fee.
  11. That’s top secret info. All I know is, I think it costs around 16 million to run the system for season or it did in past anyways not sure what last year or two would be?
  12. Then let’s Jack it up to 250 on or before nov ist and 300 before on or before dec 1. Then in season In 450 and on trail is 800 bucks, then maybe opp will go out more. That should fix revenue issue and get everyone to buy early. early permit isn’t enough discount really to bother buying early. 200 Increase I buy it early no questions asked.
  13. Then wait until trails open before buying the permit. That’s why there is an in season rate.
  14. Last yesr was first year I did that because of covid situation mostly. I still think monthly payments would be a good idea and worth exploring. We are all use to making instalments today.
  15. You will have empty pockets real fast when you realize your wallet is gone and can’t fill your sled up in the morning. They ain’t all honest there you know. Don’t ask me how I know either. Nothing like lending your buddy 500 dollars to finish trip 😂. I think monthly payment system is something that should be mentioned and put into place. I be first one to sign up. Cheers!
  16. I don’t think it is purchase price but timing of permit purchase. Spread payment into a pre approved monthly debit from your bank account and 200 issue is gone. Riders will gladly make 5 payments of 50 each. Once setup can just send an automatic renewal notice. Only buyers setup for debit withdrawal will get early season rate. Time to move ahead with the times and offer a monthly payment system. Start in September and last withdrawal is Feb or March. No credit cards pre approved bank withdrawals only, just like insurance industry does. Even Rogers wants me to do that now 😳.
  17. I don’t think it’s that high with un permitted riders using the trails. Most have permits even if you don’t see them on windshield. Ordered mine early feb came second week of March so rode with receipt in glove box the whole time. Everyone probabily thought that azzhat has no permit too. 😂
  18. Plus a reserve fund of course.
  19. Your right but last year thankfully south had snow. I think plc said our area totalled 9 or 10 weeks of open trails. The longest in about 10 years. Otherwise there would have been allot more complaining with no snow in the south. That will help with this seasons sales no doubt.
  20. Ofsc had insurance for whole system. I wonder how much that costed, us last winter? I also wonder what percentage of sales are district 10 and 11?
  21. Bottom line is everyone that buys an early pass gets a discount, and there is never any refunds. Everyone knew this going into the season and ofsc did offer a full system guarantee. Last year, I wasn’t sure what was going to happen so I didn’t buy permit early. I waited then, I bought a two day permit and turned that into full season pass, once I realized trails were staying open. I am guessing some will wait this season in affected area’s and buy permit and pay full if they do open.
  22. I got Ferris not model I ordered but from a different dealer. 800 isx same as I ordered but with 61” deck and efi big block 27 Briggs engine. Nice unit. Can cut get 6 acres in just under 4 hours and I have lots of trees to go around. That use to be an 8 to 10 hour job. I call it my turbo wheel chair 👍. Just turned 30 hours in 5 weeks. Got stuck once live and learn. Had to yank it out with compact tractor. This is pic after I pulled it out. Stuck right down to deck, sank like a rock.
  23. That’s another issue. Same thing with Ferris mowers all sold but no stock. When I got my money back in July he said I was 6 customer to bail on it.
  24. So you will take cash for it, if someone was to knock on door wanting to buy it? I never got my ferries mower as you know. I would never buy a cub cadet to mow 6 acres. That be suicide.
