  1. Yeah I ran into that in past too. My understanding is TD just goes by value of sled, now. Don’t matter what it is. In past they had a max value that they wouldn’t go above, not sure if that is still case or not.
  2. You try to change something on your policy and they go thru 30 question checklist. Oh boy no wonder phones are tied up. They won’t except cancellation without talking to you as well. Have to do both. Ran into that last year with my dads policy.
  3. There will be snow but have to get out right away to ride it, in D5 anyways . Frozen ground going to be hard to come by in south this winter. O2 sled seems to think we are in line for a few Polar Bear vortex’s this winter.
  4. Last time I shipped a container LTL it got lost at terminal in montreal. Recieved container 5 months later then expected. At least I got it but next time it will be air frieghr from Germany not boat and truck.
  5. But they won’t give out permits for lady only facility’s anymore. So no thanks!
  6. Yeah but then I would have to put it back up for sale and then people would low ball me too. Only way to do it, is to get it cheap, fix it and operate it for awhile and then turn it for a good price. Will take awhile to build clientele back up now.
  7. That’s only one district not overall permit sales. Positive sign but would like to know where sales for whole province sits.
  8. I think it is over priced. Not much land with it too, small gravel parking lot. Building a heritage building which is a pita to work on. Never let anyone tear it down either. If it had a few acres it would be a great spot for a microbrew beside it. Great location just too small in today’s standards. Hence why it is still available!
  9. Good idea. Have to get one to take chicken out of barns this winter. Then snowmobile becomes a business write off expense.
  10. That’s too bad. Good location but building is dated no doubt. With covid even restaurant is a tough business to revive in area. Someone will buy it snd turn it into apartments and be done with resturant I think.
  11. https://ottawa.ctvnews.ca/mobile/cold-and-totally-flaky-farmers-almanac-predicts-a-snowy-winter-for-ottawa-rest-of-ontario-1.5076815 So far this is complexity accurate. Out west is very snowy and cold. My friend said he was out all day yesterday boasting vehicles that wouldn’t start in Alberta’s minis 25 C temperatures. I guess we are in for a total flakey winter, whatever that means.
  12. Yeah apparantly he rode some of his customers sleds on weekend and would tell them parts aren’t in yet, when they called to enquire. That’s all I know.
  13. That must have been close to Custom John’s shop at time? Wow has weather changed. Now lucky to get out in field before xmas now.
  14. I had a feeling that might be case. How heck you going to drive thru all that snow north of Toronto to get to your sled trailer? If you had trailer on you, could drop sled and ride once truck became stuck in snow. Better get a good pair of snow shoes my friend.
  15. So you can come and pick me up, now that you have room in trailer.
  16. Yes was January 1998 I mean. That’s a good picture to have. Crazy warm thar day too. It was a 1998 skidoo formula Z 583, that I snow checked. Had two weekends of use in southern Ontario and one trip to kearny area. Manged 1000 km’s on it though. Next year was better did 3000 km’s that next winter. loved that S2000 chassis skidoo. I see you had a few too.
  17. Looks like we are a little on toasty side going into last half of November. Showing temps of 9 C for later next week too and around zero mark at night for Kitchener area. Reminds me of 1999 year I bought my first new skidoo snowmobile and had two so, so weekends to ride it in southern Ontario. Was real warm that fall too hopefully not a sign of a repeat, since we will have to blame turbo doo on this one.
  18. Depends how long you keep trucks and how many km’s you do too. That is some great fuel economy numbers. I typically keep vehicles 10 plus years now, so resale is still good on half tons since farmers will still buy them off me for dirty work.
  19. Also need the safety sticker on a HD 2500 too, for pulling a trailer.
  20. Time to get a helicopter license and leave sleds and atv in NCDN. I go splits with you Cochrane has a pretty nice airport!
  21. That’s good policy and most stores have someone watching people enter and exit. I always wear my mask and feel safer when everyone else follows or are forced to follow rules too. Right thing to do under these times. Stores were giving out free disposable ones at start of pandemic but now that has changed to enforcement and Bring your own. Some stores are selling masks and they are front of store as you enter. I keep about three in my vehicle so I can always ensure I have a clean one.
  22. Vector seems a tad high for year but not drastically. I have my 2017 grand touring Se with TD still (only vehicle I have there and it is just slightly over 600 a year with monthly install payments, full coverage with 1 million liability and collision and 500 deductibles all around, except theft and fire is 300 I believe. Atv is only 375 a year with farm broker going to ask about sled, when he comes by in a few weeks. Has full coverage too and 2 Million on atv. TD limit is 1 million.
  23. Just checked weather, not looking real promising for early riding at moment Let’s hope that changes next week. Looks like I am heading to beach this weekend in vette for one last run.
