  1. That Mach isn't light either. Doo seems to be phasing out the etecs too in allot of packages. Wish I could get one in gt still. Skidoo is slowly becoming next Yamaha 😆
  2. No you don't but they gear them differently depending on application.
  3. Depends on gearing. I have grand touring se it come close to that figure too, but power really drops off after 85 km's an hour, compared to a two stroke. It's an enough for a family guy out for a cruise no doubt. Average sledder will be disappointed in it. It is 90 hp, which is close to old 440 Indy's in comparison. Good on fuel no doubt. I miss my etec 600. If I could change engine I would buy 130 hp version next time. That be equal to 600 two strokes of today. it has been very reliable besides intial coil issues we had when new. Not as heavy as old 1200 either.
  4. I noticed that hoping it goes to yellow for tomorrow. With some fresh snow and colder temps it should re open 🙏
  5. It has more power than a 900 ace which is 90 hp. I believe s4 is 100 hp right on money. It depends how and where you ride. If I ride with my son or wife it's enough power. By myself trying to keep up with average trail rider it isn't enough jam usually. For around farm and cruising with family it's perfect engine. Oil changes are a pain no doubt especially if you only ride it 500 km's. This is one reason I rather have a two stroke. Add oil and not have to worry about changing it, ever. I like the new doo 130 hp 4 stroke but not weight. I like an etec but doo not making it anymore in allot of configurations. Maybe I have to buy that expedition too and put it thru the farm as a work sled 😆
  6. One more kick at cat you guys think?
  7. Depreciation is really high on these things now. It's crazy.
  8. It was a good year but no where near record year, we had around 11 years ago. I think we had 12 weeks of open trails that year. This year we hit our average of about 5 to 6 weeks depending which area. It's way better then lousy few days we had last few years. It's enough to put some energy back into trail system and revive permit sales for 2026. I know a few people sleds just sat in shed this winter, no insurance no permit. I couldn't get them to drag them out. Next year they be back on board hopefully.
  9. Won't react when you hit the edge of ramp on trailer?
  10. How often do you use wheels?
  11. At least we got some riding in. Concrete base like this in December would be great 👍. All in all was a good season considering most of snow came down on 12 and 16th of Feb.
  12. Did a loop today from st Clements over to Conestoga lake then I back tracked and went over towards Elmira side. 580 that meets b204 trail looked beautiful today towards Fergus. Have try that one another year. Then I went back thru elimira little icy around elimira but not too bad. Back to St Clements. About 100 km's with my little guy today.
  13. Yeah they had over 80 used in stock and sold 44 new as of January they told me. I believe this is same dealer as Scotty knows. They make some of that up in service department too no doubt 🤑
  14. If you have no trade then what do you get choice of?
  15. When I was last in January, the skidoo dealer I had service done at, had over 80 used sleds in stock. Said they only sold 44 new ones, and 120 new year before. I was afraid to ask what mine is worth, with all that inventory sitting on floor.
  16. What would you spring order?
  17. Where you see this? I can't find any info about incentives on 2026
  18. That's a great explanation. I left some dead chickens by the barn and they got burried under snow and they actually started to compost under snow too. It sure is a great insulator.
  19. That don't surprise me. Everytime I hit a near area with snowblower I would peel up dirt, grass since not frozen under un packed snow.
  20. Road as far south as ayr just above 401 on Sunday. Was mint not many sleds doing new Dundee to ayr section to Platsville seen no mud either all roads still good.
  21. If you dig down to ground no frost under snow., This is one reason it's melting so fast from top and bottom 😂.
  22. Good luck. If it was a busy weekend b could be a snow cross track. I have no recent knowledge just my experience early in week after a busy weekend.
  23. Sorry I ment snowmobiles. I did see one wrapped cat on a really neat pickup truck lift. If could go from ground to top of truck on its own, electric.
  24. Sleds won't sell well after family day weekend. Everyone almost out of sledding mood now. Only way to sell it if you find right buyer or it's a screaming deal. Maybe if snow hangs around until March break you might be in luck. Good luck.
